Southern Cross Health Insurance is shaping a healthier Aotearoa New Zealand. Our purpose is simple: empowering our members to live well for longer. We're here to give peace of mind through timely access to quality care, inspire healthier living, and lead positive change across the health system. As a New Zealand-owned, member-based organisation, we're building a future where wellbeing is at the heart of everything we do -- delivering exceptional value for our members and creating an environment where our people thrive.
Now is an exciting time to join us. You'll be part of a high-performing, values-driven team where people are at the heart of everything we do -- and in return for your talent, you'll have the opportunity to grow, make an impact, and be proud of the difference your work makes.
We're looking for a People Systems Analyst to join our high-performing team on a permanent basis.
We've got a big agenda ahead of us. There's plenty happening across Workday, people analytics, Power BI, AI and automation, governance and employee experience. We're investing in our People Technology and Analytics capability and are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with data and finding better ways to use technology to support our people and leaders.
This isn't the sort of role where you'll spend your days processing tickets or keeping the lights on. One week you might be troubleshooting a complex issue, building a dashboard, improving a business process, supporting a Workday enhancement, or investigating a new capability that could make life easier for our people and leaders.
We're a small team, so everyone gets exposure to a broad range of initiatives and the opportunity to genuinely influence how our systems, reporting and analytics evolve.
You might already work in People Systems, HRIS, People Analytics, Business Intelligence or another systems-focused role. You don't need to know everything on day one. We're looking for someone who's curious, enjoys solving problems, loves working with data and wants to continue building their capability across People Technology and Analytics.
Experience with Workday would be valuable, but we're equally interested in people who've built capability in other enterprise platforms and are keen to learn. Highly regarded candidates will bring hands-on experience developing and configuring Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions, with the ability to translate business requirements into meaningful insights that support better decision-making.
Why join us?
You'll join a team with a lot going on and plenty of opportunities to learn. We're investing heavily in our People Technology and Analytics capability and have an ambitious roadmap that includes workforce insights, Power BI reporting, automation, AI, governance and platform improvements.
It's a role with real ownership, variety and the chance to shape how technology, data and insights support our people and leaders long term.
Our values who we are and what’s important to us.
Ngākau nui. Āhurutanga. Tikanga.
Join a team that's always there, always real, always true. If you thrive in a purpose-driven, diverse and supportive culture, we think you’ll love working with us.
But that’s not all. If you need more time to support your whānau, we offer work-life balance, a hybrid environment and each year you have a volunteer day to spend with your team contributing to a cause or community of your choice.
We are proud to have taken the Pride Pledge, reflecting our commitment to inclusion and belonging. We also facilitate an active, employee‑led Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Forum, which includes our Rainbow Network, Māori Network, Pasifika Collective, and Neurodiversity and Whānau Support networks.
If you share our commitment and passion, we'd love to hear from you.

More Kiwis are with us because we're with them.
