Job Description

The People Strategy Administrator II provides administrative and operational support to the People Strategy (Human Resources) team. This role serves as a primary point of contact for employees and visitors, manages HR transactions and employee records, supports onboarding activities, responds to employee inquiries, and ensures accurate processing of People Strategy documentation and workflows. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, confidentiality, and a customer-service-oriented approach.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

People Strategy Administration

  • Process HR actions and employee status changes in applicable systems.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data integrity.
  • Update employee information and personnel files as needed.
  • Upload, organize, and maintain leave of absence, workers’ compensation, and other People Strategy documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with recordkeeping requirements and confidentiality standards.
  • Assist with audits, reporting, and other administrative People Strategy functions.

Onboarding & Employee Support

  • Coordinate and process new hire onboarding activities.
  • Ensure all onboarding paperwork and employment documentation are completed accurately and timely.
  • Serve as a resource for employees regarding routine People Strategy questions and processes.
  • Complete simple Verifications of Employment (VOEs) in accordance with company policies.

Employee Inquiries & Ticket Management

  • Respond to and resolve a high volume of incoming People Strategy tickets and requests.
  • Escalate complex employee relations, benefits, payroll, or compliance matters to the appropriate team members.
  • Provide timely, professional, and customer-focused support to employees and managers.

Front Desk & Office Support

  • Cover the front desk and answer incoming phone calls.
  • Welcome visitors, employees, candidates, and vendors in a professional manner.
  • Direct visitors and inquiries to the appropriate departments or personnel.
  • Support general office operations and administrative needs.
  • Restock office, kitchen, and breakroom supplies and maintain an organized work environment.
  • Assist with office coordination activities and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

WORKING REQUIREMENTS/CONDITIONS

Education/Certification

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Required Knowledge

  • Knowledge of administrative and human resources practices.
  • Understanding of employee recordkeeping and confidentiality requirements.
  • Customer service principles and professional communication standards.

Experience Required

  • Previous administrative, human resources, office support, or customer service experience preferred.

Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).

PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION

  • Finger dexterity: Using primarily fingers for typing and handling documents.
  • Talking: Frequent communication with employees, candidates, visitors, and vendors.
  • Hearing: Ability to hear and understand normal conversations and phone communications.
  • Visual Abilities: Ability to review documents, data, and computer screens accurately.
  • Physical Strength: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time with occasional standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 10 pounds.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Office Setting/Hybrid:

Works primarily in a professional office environment utilizing standard office equipment and technology.

Noise Level:

Moderate office noise with frequent employee and visitor interactions.

Work Schedule:

Regular full-time office hours (Monday–Friday). Occasional overtime may be required to support business needs, onboarding activities, projects, or peak workload periods.

Attention to Detail:

Requires a high degree of accuracy when processing employee information, HR actions, onboarding documentation, and personnel records.

Confidentiality:

Must exercise sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential employee and company information.

Requires professional, courteous, and responsive interactions with employees, managers, candidates, and visitors.
