When you join ST, you will be part of a global business with more than 115 nationalities, present in 40 countries, and comprising over 50,000 diverse and dedicated creators and makers of technology around the world.

Developing technologies takes more than talent: it takes amazing people who understand collaboration and respect. People with passion and the desire to disrupt the status quo, drive innovation, and unlock their own potential.

Embark on a journey with us, where you can innovate for a future that we want to make smarter and greener, in a responsible and sustainable way. Our technology starts with you.

We are a newly established People Services team based in Kuala Lumpur, strengthening our capabilities across Payroll, Employee Lifecycle (ELC), Learning & Development (L&D), Talent Acquisition (TA), and global HR processes. As part of a phased transformation journey, we are supporting the transition of selected activities across the organization. Our objective is to build a centralized hub that delivers efficient, consistent, and virtual HR services on a global scale.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Management:

  • Lead the transition activities in collaboration with HR Centers of Excellence, local subject matter experts, and regional/global stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and corporate HR policies throughout transition and steady-state operations.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including preparation, review, and validation.
  • Partner with HR Innovation, HRMS, and IT teams to support system testing activities, including UAT coordination and defect follow-up.
  • Identify and implement process streamlining opportunities by removing redundancies and improving operational efficiency.

Leadership Management:

  • Provide functional leadership and support to the team to ensure data accuracy, correct processing, and compliance with defined controls.
  • Support delivery of HR projects and initiatives, with a focus on achieving world-class People Services outcomes.
  • Serve as a key point of contact between HR Innovation/HRMS and People Services for escalations; support prioritization and follow-through of issues to closure.
  • Assign tasks, set performance goals, and monitor workload distribution.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings with direct reports to provide feedback, coaching, and support for professional development.

Operations Management:

  • Manage end-to-end employee lifecycle processes (e.g., onboarding, transfers, promotions, offboarding) and support HR procurement activities (e.g., raising PR/PO) where in scope.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the People Services ELC team and collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to enhance core HR processes.
  • Manage escalations, resolve complex cases, and maintain strong customer relationships as required.
  • Investigate requests that cannot be resolved at first level by diagnosing the issue and routing to the appropriate next-line support within People Services ELC; support prioritization of issues.
  • Deliver training and guidance on data management best practices to the People Services ELC team.
  • Identify and implement process improvement initiatives, including leveraging technology to optimize workflows.
  • Conduct regular quality checks/audits to ensure timely execution in line with SLAs, company policies, and compliance requirements.

Opportunities:

  • Contribute to the development of collaborative working methods.
  • Drive process and system improvements through digitalization and automation.
  • Grow alongside the organization in a dynamic and evolving environment.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of HR Operations/Employee Life Cycle experience, with regional exposure across APAC or EMEA; HR Services start-up/transition experience preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, high attention to detail, and a customer-service mindset.
  • Solid understanding of HR best practices, compliance, and continuous improvement methods.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across functions and geographies.
  • Proficient in HR systems (Oracle/Workday/SuccessFactors/SAP) and ticketing tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Intermediate Excel capability (pivot tables, charts) and comfort working with datasets.
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or above is an advantage.
