Elior Support Services – The People Behind Every Plate

We’re looking for a People Services Assistant to join our People team and help make sure our colleagues and managers get the support they need, when they need it.

This is a varied role at the heart of our People Services function, giving you exposure to everything from HR administration and employee lifecycle processes to talent, performance, People systems and reporting.

You’ll be one of the first points of contact for People queries, helping colleagues navigate processes and systems, keeping our data accurate and making sure important People activity happens smoothly and on time.

You’ll also have the opportunity to get involved in People projects, process improvements and automation, so this isn’t just about keeping things ticking over. We want you to spot opportunities to make things better, simpler and more efficient.

What you’ll be serving up…

• Being the first point of contact for People Services queries, providing helpful and professional support through shared mailboxes and People systems.
• Keeping the People engine running, supporting a wide range of HR administration and colleague lifecycle processes.
• Looking after our People data, maintaining accurate and confidential employee records across our systems while ensuring GDPR requirements are always followed.
• Making data work for us, producing regular and ad hoc reports from Dayforce and other People systems and ensuring information is accurate, meaningful and delivered on time.
• Supporting the colleague journey, from issuing welcome communications and system access details to helping new starters get the information they need.
• Helping deliver performance campaigns, supporting annual and cyclical review processes, monitoring completion and following up where action is needed.
• Supporting talent and performance activity, including campaign setup, forms, reporting and helping managers and colleagues navigate the process.
• Working across the People team, collaborating with HR, Payroll, Talent Acquisition and operational teams to make sure colleagues receive a joined-up service.
• Getting involved in projects, supporting new People initiatives, process improvements and opportunities to automate or simplify the way we work.
• Keeping things moving, managing your workload effectively, meeting deadlines and making sure queries and actions don’t get lost.

No two days will be exactly the same. One day you could be helping a manager with a People system query, the next pulling together a report, supporting a performance campaign or working on a project to improve how we do things.

The ingredients you’ll bring…

• Previous administrative experience is essential. You’ll be organised, reliable and comfortable managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Experience in HR, People Services, Learning & Development, Talent or a Shared Services environment would be a real advantage.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Experience using an HRIS such as Dayforce would be advantageous, although we’ll help you learn the systems you need.
• Excellent attention to detail, particularly when working with People data, records and reports.
• Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage competing demands without losing sight of the detail.
• A natural customer service mindset. You’ll enjoy helping people and will take pride in providing a great experience.
• Confident communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with managers, colleagues and People teams.
• The ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
• A proactive approach to problem solving. If you spot something that could work better, you’ll be the kind of person who speaks up and looks for a solution.
• A flexible and adaptable approach, with the ability to respond positively when priorities change.
