KU Children’s Services has been proudly recognised as an Employer of Choice for 10 consecutive years. This recognition reflects a workplace culture where people are supported to thrive, innovate and build meaningful, long‑term careers through investment in their future.
KU operates nearly 120 early childhood education and care services across NSW, VIC, the ACT and QLD. Established in 1895, KU is one of Australia’s most experienced and respected providers of long day care, preschool, outside school hours care, occasional care, family programs and early intervention services. KU also operates brokered programs on behalf of the Commonwealth Government and provides professional services to the early childhood sector and the wider community.

KU Child Safe Statement of Commitment
KU Children’s Services is a child safe organisation committed to protecting children from harm and abuse. The safety, rights and best interests of children are paramount and inform all aspects of our decision-making. Our longstanding commitment to child safety and wellbeing is demonstrated by our zero tolerance for child abuse, a strong culture of reporting concerns, and respect for children’s voices and participation. We embed the Child Safe Standards in everyday practice, comply with child safe legislation, and foster a culture in which children are safe, valued and heard.

At KU, children have a voice. Curious and social, they’re ready for the world. Proudly not for profit and for purpose.
No matter how big the conversation, they have their say. In KU’s 130 services, children experience high quality early education preschool, child care, early intervention and inclusion programs, and small acts of kindness happen every day. They learn it’s OK to be different, and we can all be different, together. KU is our place where we all belong - a safe, calm community of children, parents and educators. It’s our team of qualified, experienced employees that make KU unique, and underpin the “KU Difference”. All KU staff enjoy comprehensive and ongoing support. And having been awarded Employer of Choice every year since 2016, it’s no wonder so many staff choose to grow their careers at KU.
