We’relooking for an experienced People Relations Partner to join our People Relations & Case Management team, providing expert employment law advice and people relations support across the organisation.
Whatyou’llbe doing
This is a senior, specialist role working closely with the Head of People Relations & Case Management, senior leaders and the wider People function toprovideexpert employment law advice and ensure people‑related decisions and organisational change are legally compliant,pragmaticand aligned to business priorities. The role plays a key part in minimising legal,financialand reputational risk while supporting delivery of strategicobjectives
Acting as a subject matter expert, the role advises on complex and high‑risk employee relations matters, including restructures, TUPE, senior exits, contractualchangeand employment litigation, providing oversight of Employment Tribunal claims and ACAS early conciliation in partnership with internal and external legal teams.
The role supports and shapes major people projects and change initiatives, assessing and communicating employment law risk across all stages to enable informed decision‑making. Working collaboratively across the People function, it ensures a consistent, joined‑up approach to people relations, while also contributing to investigations, trade union matters and robust governance.
With a strong capability‑building focus, the role supports the development of policies,processesand training, ensuring legislative changes are understood, risks areidentifiedearly and lessons learned are embedded across the organisation.

This role would suit a legally qualified employment law specialist, ideally within-houseexperience, who is confident operating within a large,complexand unionised environment.You’llbring a strongtrack recordof advising onhigh‑riskand sensitive employee relations matters, with the judgement and confidence to provide clear, pragmatic guidance in situations
You’lldemonstratestrong commercial awareness, understanding how employment law advice supports wider businessobjectives, andyou’llbe comfortable influencing and challenging at senior and executive level.Bringinga collaborative and consultative approach, with the ability to translate complex legal concepts into clear, practical advice.
The role requires someone who is comfortable handling confidential,high-profileandtime‑criticalmatters, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously whilemaintainingattention to detail and legal rigour.You’llbe proactive,resilientand adaptable, able tooperateeffectively in afast‑pacedenvironment and respond calmly to emerging risks or urgent issues.
A commitment to continuous learning and staying up to date with legislative and case law developments is essential, alongside a desire to build capability across the organisation through coaching,guidanceand knowledge sharing.
