Job Description

Role: People Partner – Bangladesh Grade: WL1 Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh JOB DESCRIPTION: People Partners are the face of HR to our employees and line managers, supporting hiring to retiring – the whole employee life cycle for line managers in the moments that matter. They provide advice, guidance and support on policy to inform knowledge in our hubs. People Partners are the experts and professionals in their field with deep knowledge of our processes, our policies and the law in the country they support. They work on behalf of our employees and line managers. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Partnering with Line Managers and providing them with excellent guidance on individual matters • Resolve complex, local questions using our policies, available expertise, knowledge of laws and systems, social skills as well as your common sense and ensure that practices are compliant and exceptions are consistently applied across the business. • Accountable for knowledge management at UNA and feeding insights into enhancement of its technology • Support JML (onboarding, job move and exit employee engagement) transformation focusing on creating seamless experience, smooth change management and minimum business disruption. • Provide operational support and guidance on matters relating to performance improvement, disciplinary, grievance, absence management, family leave, flexible working, collective and individual consultation, redundancy processes, etc. Very hands-on support • Play a key role in upholding Unilever’s standards of behaviour, conduct, performance and the company’s code of business principles, and assisting with the resolution of conflict or disputes. • Contribute to creating a positive work environment by instilling confidence in our Managers and Employees that they are unbiased and neutral in facilitating resolutions to issues and concerns • Work side-by-side with teams across HR (HRBPs, Payroll, Reward, Global Mobility, Talent Acquisition etc), providing support and subject matter expertise to recommend appropriate actions to address queries or problems. EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree or equivalent • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in HR (e.g. HR Advisor, HR Generalist, HRBP) • Strong organization skills as well as attention to detail and diligence • Ability to work independently and in a matrix teamwork environment SKILLS • Future-Fit Skills: Business Partnering, Emotional Intelligence, Customer Experience, Stakeholder Management, Collaboration, Digital Awareness, Influencing, Problem Solving • Understands the Business & People Motives: Takes an active interest in people & what we do as a business and how we do it - a commercial focus and inquisitive mind are essential. • Collaboration, Relationship Building and Influencing: Constructively questioning and influencing whilst maintaining collaborative relationships is key and constant dialogue with People, Business Leaders and HRBPs will come naturally. • Agility, Adaptability and Pace: Take a planned approach to working at pace in a complex environment
