Main goal

This role sits within the HR Development unit, which drives UEFA’s people development agenda by ensuring that initiatives across strategic HR partnering, talent acquisition, learning and development, and employee well-being are aligned, coherent and impactful. As our next People & Organisational Development Manager, you will be accountable for shaping and delivering an integrated learning, leadership and organisational development ecosystem that strengthens capabilities, supports our talent and succession pipelines and fosters a culture of continuous growth. You will lead a team of two HR professionals and act as an advisor to HR business partners and business leaders. In addition, you will contribute actively to organisational transformation by supporting managers and teams in navigating change and building future-ready capabilities.

Key responsibilities

  • Defining and continually evolving UEFA’s learning and talent development strategy
  • Analysing organisational and team development needs in collaboration with HR business partners, managers and employees
  • Designing and governing a coherent portfolio of development programmes
  • Designing and facilitating learning programmes and workshops
  • Supporting the development of a 'manager‑as‑coach' mindset
  • Ensuring the smooth and efficient management of all learning and development operations and overseeing UEFA’s learning platform
  • Liaising and collaborating with UEFA colleagues leading training initiatives to ensure alignment, synergy and community building across the organisation
  • Providing targeted coaching for leaders and teams and maintaining a high‑quality coaching framework and an appropriate pool of internal and external coaches
  • Using coaching‑relevant diagnostic tools to identify development needs, support self‑awareness and guide personalised development plans
  • Owning and evolving the approach for promotions and succession planning, including UEFA's development centre and assessments
  • Providing strategic direction for UEFA’s health and well-being agenda, ensuring alignment with organisational culture and identified needs

Requirements

Experience:

  • 7–10 years’ experience in learning and development or talent development in an international environment
  • Experience building learning and development strategies and portfolios aligned to organisational needs
  • Strong background in people development and coaching
  • Experience in designing and facilitating learning programmes is an asset
  • Experience with assessments and development centres is a plus

Education:

  • University degree in human resources, psychology, education, business or a related field
  • Coaching certification from a recognised institution
  • Additional training or certification in assessment tools (e.g. Insights, PI, 360 feedback tools)
  • Change management certification/training is an asset

Languages:

  • English / Proficient
  • French is a plus

Other requirements:

- Relocation to Switzerland/France is expected
