In 2015, we pioneered a “moneyball for biotech” approach, pooling projects and promising early-stage research from academia together under one financial umbrella to reduce risk and unleash innovation. This model allows science and small teams of experts to lead the way. We build bridges to groundbreaking advancements in rare disease, and develop life-changing medicines for patients with unmet needs as fast as humanly possible.
Together we define white space, push boundaries, and empower people to solve problems. If you're someone who defies convention, join us and work alongside some of the most respected minds in the industry. Together, we'll ask "why not?" and help reengineer the future of biopharma. At BridgeBio, we value curiosity and experimentation—including the ethical & thoughtful use of AI to improve clarity, speed, and quality of work.
BridgeBio's People Operations, Systems & Innovation team builds the operational infrastructure that powers our People function — replacing fragmented, manual processes with intelligent, integrated systems that scale with the company. Our north star is an AI-native People operating model where Workday, Greenhouse, ServiceNow, and Maverick (our AI assistant) function as a single system, and every process is designed for where we're going, not optimized for where we are.
The Sr. People Operations Systems Specialist is the execution engine behind that vision. You'll own day-to-day operations across ServiceNow HRSD, Moveworks Maverick, Greenhouse ATS, and VNDLY — but this is not a ticket queue. You'll document workflows, train the AI assistant, build self-service tools, and serve a the human-in-the-loop for escalations that require judgment a bot can't replace. As AI absorbs more Tier 0 and Tier 1 volume, your focus shifts up the value chain: from transaction execution to root cause analysis, permanent fix design, and programmatic work across the employee lifecycle.
What You'll Do
Employee Lifecycle & Compliance
- Execute HR lifecycle transactions in Workday — new hire validation, transfers, org changes, and offboarding — catching data quality issues before they propagate downstream
- Coordinate VNDLY contingent workforce operations: contractor onboarding/offboarding, tenure alerts, and Workday record synchronization
- Support SoD and UAR compliance: quarterly user access review evidence collection across Workday, Greenhouse, ServiceNow, and VNDLY; flag anomalies within 24 hours
- Own I-9/E-Verify compliance tracking, EEO-1 data extraction and validation, and onboarding/offboarding systems checklists with defined Day 1 and 4-hour SLAs
AI Operations & People Assistant Enablement
- Build and maintain the Maverick knowledge base — author structured HR knowledge articles, FAQs, and process guides optimized for RAG retrieval accuracy
- Own the content lifecycle: track expiration dates, coordinate policy reviews with Compliance, and ensure no outdated content lives in production
- Monitor Maverick performance daily (containment rate, CSAT, escalation rate, low-confidence queries) and convert gaps into new content or workflow improvements
- Serve as human-in-the-loop for complex escalations — resolve with care, document root cause, and build a permanent fix so the same question never escalates again
- Run weekly bias spot-checks on AI outputs and maintain the employee-facing AI transparency log; flag PII exposure, legal guidance, or medical advice as P1 incidents
ServiceNow HRSD Operations
- Manage the HR case queue — triage, route, and ensure no case ages beyond SLA without escalation
- Build and maintain knowledge articles and employee-facing FAQ content in plain language; update within 48 hours of any policy change
- Identify recurring case patterns and propose automation or self-service improvements to eliminate tickets that shouldn't exist
Greenhouse ATS & VNDLY
- Administer Greenhouse day-to-day: requisition setup, pipeline hygiene, data quality audits, and EEOC/OFCCP data completeness on every req
- Support the Greenhouse-to-Workday integration: validate every accepted offer triggers the correct hire record, IT provisioning, and onboarding workflow
- Serve as first-line support for TA and HR Operations on Greenhouse and VNDLY issues
LMS & Workday Learning
- Own mandatory compliance training completion — enrollment dashboards, weekly tracking, and escalation for any population below 98% before deadline
- Administer Workday Learning: course catalog setup, enrollment automation, completion tracking, SCORM support, and HCM integration validation
People Data Quality & Reporting
- Run weekly Workday data quality audits across AI-critical fields (position, location, manager, cost center, compensation); maintain ≥95% quality score
- Run and validate the standard People reporting cadence — headcount, attrition, open reqs, tenure, and compliance training — weekly, monthly, and quarterly
- Fulfill ad-hoc HRBP data requests via Workday Report Writer and Databricks dashboards within defined SLA; surface recurring requests as automation candidates
Process Documentation & Continuous Improvement
- Own the People Ops process documentation library: write, maintain, and version-control SOPs for every operational process you execute
- Audit workflows quarterly; bring a prioritized list of automation opportunities to your manager with effort estimates and expected impact
- Build and maintain employee and manager self-service guides to reduce Tier 1 contact volume
Who You Are
- 2–4 years in HR Operations, People Operations, HR Shared Services, or HR systems administration — ideally in a scaling tech or life sciences environment; you've owned a process end-to-end, not just executed tasks within one
- Hands-on experience with at least two of: Workday HCM, Greenhouse ATS, ServiceNow HRSD; VNDLY or equivalent VMS is a strong plus
- AI & automation mindset — you hate doing the same manual task twice; demonstrated experience using AI tools (Claude, Moveworks, Glean, or similar) in day-to-day work; excited to train chatbots, build knowledge bases, and measure whether they're working
- Root cause obsessed — you don't just close tickets, you investigate why the ticket existed and build the fix that prevents recurrence
- Compliance-aware — familiarity with I-9/E-Verify, EEO-1, SoD concepts, and UAR processes; you understand why the audit trail exists and maintain it without being told
- Data precise — high attention to detail; you catch the discrepancy before it propagates and build the quality check into the SOP
- Clear communicator — you can translate HR system jargon into plain language for a confused new hire and translate a messy operational problem into a clean root cause summary for your manager
- LMS experience — hands-on with Workday Learning, Absorb, Cornerstone, or equivalent: course catalog management, enrollment automation, completion tracking
- Comfortable writing structured test cases for AI workflows, evaluating retrieval accuracy across varied phrasings, and maintaining a response quality log
- Based in the San Francisco Bay Area; available to work regularly from our SF and Palo Alto offices
