The People Operations Specialist (Compliance & Offboarding) is responsible for managing employee relations, compliance, and offboarding processes while ensuring adherence to company policies, Philippine labor laws, and regulatory requirements.
This position provides support in managing employee relations cases, involuntary separations, redeployment, government compliance, employment documentation, and end-to-end offboarding activities while partnering with internal stakeholders, clients, and government agencies. The role also drives operational excellence by maintaining accurate records, identifying process improvements, and ensuring timely completion of compliance-related deliverables.
Success in this role requires sound judgment, exceptional attention to detail, stakeholder management skills, and the ability to balance employee experience with business and legal requirements.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Employee Relations and Compliance
Provide guidance on company policies, labor law requirements, and compliance best practices, with the ability to identify the requirement for escalation.
Help support the management of employee relations cases, ensuring timely, objective, and legally compliant resolution while maintaining confidentiality.
Provide support in the execution of end-to-end due process for disciplinary actions, role cancellations, client cancellations, and authorized causes in accordance with company policy and Philippine labor laws.
Support administrative investigations, document findings, prepare notices, and ensure proper case documentation.
Offboarding and Workforce Administration
Manage the end-to-end offboarding process for involuntary separations, ensuring all legal, payroll, documentation, and operational requirements are completed within established timelines.
Support redeployment activities by coordinating with internal departments and monitoring employee placement opportunities.
Oversee clearance compliance and proactively resolve outstanding clearance issues before employee separation.
Ensure all employee movements, cancellations, floating status, and offboarding transactions are accurately recorded across HR systems and trackers.
Reporting and Operational Excellence
Prepare accurate and timely employee relations, compliance, offboarding, and workforce reports for internal leaders and clients.
Monitor compliance metrics, identify trends, and escalate operational or legal risks when necessary.
Maintain complete, accurate, and organized employee records while ensuring data integrity across all HR systems.
Propose opportunities to streamline employee relations and offboarding processes through standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain process documentation, templates, knowledge articles, and standard operating procedures related to compliance and employee relations.
Partnership and Collaboration
Build collaborative relationships within the People Operations team to ensure seamless execution of employee lifecycle activities.
Internally escalate and communicate employee relations matters professionally, objectively, and with empathy while maintaining compliance and organizational standards.
Provide support for internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to information requests.
Other Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with government reporting requirements and maintain complete audit-ready documentation.
Support special projects, compliance initiatives, policy rollouts, and People Operations programs as assigned.
Perform other duties that contribute to the effectiveness of the People Operations function.
Qualifications:
Candidate must have 0-2 years of experience in employee or labor relations.
Candidate must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Candidate must be willing to work in the morning-shift (8 AM to 5 PM) schedule, on a hybrid setup (offices are based in BGC and Aguirre).
Having familiarity with local labor laws, local labor practices, and must be comfortable in creating formal notices that align with compliance requirements while balancing the humanity of HR is an advantage.
Having experience in working in a fast-paced organization is an advantage.
Having experience handling multiple stakeholders effectively is an advantage.
Candidates who are willing to learn, have great attention to detail, and who have creative reasoning skills are preferred.
