The Role
We are looking for a motivated, hands-on, and service-oriented People Operations Specialist (60 - 80%) to join our People and Culture (P&C) team in Vienna. In this role, you will support operational P&C topics for Austria and act as the local point of contact for employees and managers in Vienna. You will work closely with the broader international P&C team while independently managing day-to-day operational P&C topics on-site.
How you’ll make an impact
Support and manage employee lifecycle processes for Austria, including onboarding, employee changes, and offboarding
Prepare and maintain employment documentation (e.g. contracts, amendments, exit documents) in compliance with Austrian labour law
Act as a reliable point of contact for employees and managers on operational P&C topics
Coordinate payroll preparation and validation in collaboration with our external payroll provider
Ensure high data quality and accuracy across all relevant P&C systems
Support administrative processes such as employee references and benefits coordination
Support the continuous improvement of People Operations processes and templates
Ensure reliable operational support and a positive employee experience
Support P&C reporting and day-to-day administrative topics
What is important to us
2 + years of experience in People Operations in Austria
Hands-on experience across different areas of the employee lifecycle (contracts, onboarding, employee changes, offboarding)
Experience in payroll coordination; experience working with an external payroll provider is a plus
Comfortable working independently in a small local set-up
A structured, reliable, and detail-oriented working style
A hands-on and proactive mindset
Fluent German and very good English skills

For this position we are offering an attractive compensation package above the IT collectively agreed minimum basic salary (IT-KV, with classification ST1/rule). The gross salary/month starts at EUR 2.488,- (80%) and will be adjusted according to your qualification and experience.
