York is seeking a People Operations Senior Manager to play a key role in shaping a modern, scalable people function during a critical phase of growth. This is a unique opportunity to step into a newly public company and help build the people operations strategy, from foundational infrastructure to leadership development and partnership for a rapidly scaling business.

The successful candidate will support and operationalize enterprise-level strategy by providing hands-on leadership that turns priorities into action. This role partners closely with leaders to align people strategy with business objectives, ensure compliance, strengthen leadership capability, and support scalable organizational growth.

The role reports to the VP, Human Capital Management (HCM), will be located onsite at our Greenwood Village, Colorado facility where the majority of our employees are based.

Responsibilities

Works closely with VP HCM to translate enterprise level strategy into actionable HR priorities and operational plans and partner with the team to ensure high-quality execution across programs and initiatives.

  • Develop, deploy, and oversee management/employee training and development programs, including the design of a scalable management development framework; effectively facilitates learning programs related to management, leadership and other topics as necessary.
  • Facilitate the continued refinement, implementation, and operational components of compensation programs to ensure competitiveness, equity, and alignment with business strategy.
  • Support job architecture and description management by working with leaders and HCM team to develop, refine and maintain job architecture and descriptions.
  • Serve as a senior advisor on complex and sensitive employee relations matters, providing guidance to leaders, directors and HR partners to ensure fair, consistent, and legally compliant outcomes.
  • Partner with leadership to drive organizational change, building processes, systems, and practices that support scalable growth.
  • Strengthen workforce capability through targeted interventions, talent programs, and coaching leaders, managers and employees.
  • Execute HCM processes and employee lifecycle operations; strives for efficient and optimal experience for stakeholders, employees and cross-function partners while utilizing continuous improvement methods to evolve HCM operations.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational excellence within HR.
  • Lead a small team with focus on coaching, developing and managing performance; strives to grow and develop talent for the future.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in leadership roles.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and facilitating management training and other development programs.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the design, administration, and maintenance of compensation programs, partnering with Legal and Finance to ensure compliance, operational feasibility, and high-quality execution across all compensation cycles and processes.
  • Experienced in organizational design, workforce planning, and strategic HR leadership.
  • Strong employment law acumen and experience managing highly complex HR matters.
  • Proven ability to design scalable people practices in high growth environments.
  • Demonstrates a growth mindset and is solutions-focused; works effectively with varying levels of an organization to build strong and trusted working relationships.
  • Able to lead through change and ambiguity, setting clear priorities and maintaining disciplined execution in evolving business conditions.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, appropriate for collaborating with leaders, building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, and effectively representing the organization in communications with candidates and other external parties.
  • Hands on HRIS experience including data management and reporting; experience with system configuration and optimization is a plus.
  • Willingness to perform operational tasks as well as manage more involved or sophisticated projects.
  • Willingness to work full-time in our Greenwood Village, CO office; this position does not support remote or hybrid work.
