The People Operations Analyst is responsible for supporting the delivery of People Operations services across the employee lifecycle, with primary support responsibility for the India/APAC employee population. Working in partnership with the Global People Operations, HRIS, and HR Business Partner teams, this role supports onboarding and offboarding, employee data management, HR systems administration, employment documentation, contract administration, payroll and benefits support, reporting, and employee inquiries.
The role serves as the local People Operations presence in India while also supporting the execution of global People Operations processes and initiatives. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and passionate about delivering a high-quality employee experience through operational excellence and data accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Lifecycle Administration
- Coordinate onboarding and offboarding activities for employees in APAC and support global onboarding activities as needed.
- Process employee lifecycle transactions including hires, transfers, promotions, manager changes, organizational changes, leaves of absence, and terminations.
- Prepare, distribute, and maintain employment-related documentation including offer letters, employment contracts, contract amendments, employment verification letters, and employee communications.
- Support contract administration activities and ensure employee documentation is complete, accurate, and appropriately maintained.
- Coordinate pre-employment documentation and onboarding requirements for new hires.
- Maintain employee personnel records and ensure compliance with document retention requirements.
HR Administration & Data Management
- Process and maintain employee data within Workday and other HR systems.
- Support organizational changes, position management, and employee data updates.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure employee, organizational, and position data accuracy.
- Monitor data quality and proactively identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Support reporting requests, workforce analytics, and HR metrics.
- Assist with system testing, data validation, and implementation activities as needed.
Employee Support & Case Management
- Serve as the primary local People Operations contact for employees and managers in India.
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR processes, policies, programs, and HR systems.
- Assist employees with questions related to employment documentation, contracts, onboarding, benefits, payroll, HR systems, and employee data.
- Support global HR case management activities and ensure timely resolution of employee requests.
- Partner with HR Business Partners, Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, and other stakeholders to support employee needs.
- Deliver a high level of customer service and employee support.
Payroll, Benefits & Compliance Support
- Support payroll preparation activities such as employee data validation and data requests.
- Assist employees with payroll and benefits-related questions, coordinating with the appropriate resources required to facilitate resolution.
- Support employee benefit enrollment activities and maintain related documentation as needed.
- Coordinate documentation and administrative activities required to support local compliance obligations and audits.
- Partner with Payroll and Benefits teams to ensure accurate employee data is maintained and operational requests are completed timely.
Local India People Operations Support
- Serve as the local operational People team presence for the India employee population.
- Partner closely with India HR Business Partners to execute employee lifecycle activities and organizational changes.
- Support local employee communications, onboarding activities, and People team initiatives.
- Assist with office-based HR administrative activities as needed.
- Coordinate operational activities requiring local presence and employee interaction.
Global People Operations Support
- Partner with other HR Operations team members to support global People Operations processes and initiatives.
- Execute established People Operations processes across multiple countries and employee populations.
- Support reporting, data audits, documentation updates, and administrative projects.
- Assist with the administration of global People programs and processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, data quality, and employee experience.
Preferred
- Experience supporting employee lifecycle administration in a global organization.
- Experience working within a Shared Services, People Operations, or HR Operations environment.
- Exposure to payroll, benefits administration, and HR compliance processes.
- Experience supporting employees across multiple countries or regions.
- Experience with HR reporting and workforce data analysis.
Work Environment
- Hybrid work arrangement based in Hyderabad, India.
- Occasional travel (up to 5%) may be required.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in HR Operations, HR Administration, Shared Services, or a related function.
- Experience working with HR systems; Workday experience required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
