Job Description

Ever had to coach a manager through a tough conversation at 9am, then present workforce trends to the board by 3pm? At Lomond, our People Experience Partner does both. The role is offered on a flexible basis, split two days at our Troy Mills office in Horsforth, Leeds and two days across our branches in Yorkshire & Scotland, reporting to the Group People Director.

Lomond is one of the UK's largest & fastest growing property services groups, and growth like ours needs strong people foundations. This role is the hands-on HR presence managers turn to for everyday casework, while giving our leadership team the workforce insight they need to make good calls, from resolving ER cases to shaping how we manage change through acquisitions.

What you'll be doing

  • Be the first point of contact for managers & colleagues on people matters across your patch, resolving issues in real time
  • Build close relationships with branch & operational managers to spot problems early
  • Own routine ER casework, from probation & absence to disciplinary & grievance, escalating the complex cases
  • Coach managers through difficult conversations so they can lead people matters well
  • Support colleagues directly, resolving concerns before they escalate
  • Provide hands-on support through change activity, including restructures, TUPE & acquisition integration
  • Flag people risk & compliance issues promptly, keeping accurate records for your patch
  • Turn people data into workforce analytics that inform decisions at Executive & Board level

We're not just looking for someone who fits our team; we want to be a good fit for you too!

We're looking for individuals with qualities such as:

  • Significant HR Business Partnering experience in a fast paced, multi-site or operationally led business
  • A track record supporting dispersed teams across multiple brands or business units
  • Experience partnering with senior leadership on organisational performance & people strategy
  • Hands-on experience leading change, whether restructures, redundancy, TUPE or cultural integration
  • Ability to turn complex people data into clear, commercial recommendations for senior stakeholders

Here's what you can look forward to

At Lomond Group, we believe in taking care of our people. That's why we offer some amazing perks and benefits through our engagement platform, LOMONDlife, such as:

  • Access discounts at over 900 retailers through our smart spending app, plus a wellbeing centre with resources to help you stay active, eat well, build financial confidence & look after your mental health
  • Free, confidential counselling through our Employee Assistance Programme
  • Spread the cost of the latest gadgets & appliances with our Smart Tech Scheme
  • Cut your commute's carbon footprint with our Cycle2Work Scheme
  • Enhanced Family Friendly Leave covering maternity, paternity, adoption & IVF
  • Competitive base pay benchmarked to market, plus commission & performance bonuses on most roles
  • Recognition for length of service, marked with special days & celebrations
  • A pension scheme to help you build towards retirement
  • Funded professional qualifications to back your development & career growth
  • Regular company socials, because we work hard & socialise even harder

If your application catches our eye, you'll have a first virtual interview with our Chief People Officer & Group People Director, then a second virtual conversation with our current Senior People Experience Partners. The final stage takes place in person with the MDs of the regions you'd be working with.

We're looking to fill this role by 30th August 2026, though we may close it sooner if we receive a strong response. If you need any adjustments to the recruitment or interview process, contact Jake Mead at recruitment@lomond.co.uk.

Lomond is committed to building a diverse, inclusive workplace where everyone can do their best work, whatever their background. Apply today.
