Are you a strategic HR leader ready to make your mark across multiple markets? Discova is seeking an exceptional People Experience Leader to lead our people operations across Vietnam—a truly opportunity for an ambitious HR professional ready to level up.

This isn't just an HR role; it's a springboard to regional influence. You'll lead people strategy in our Vietnam operations while providing expert HR support to our growing Vietnam markets. Working closely with the Discova People Experience Leader and Regional GM, you'll gain invaluable multi-country experience while building strategic capabilities that will define your career.

What You'll Do

As our People Experience Leader, you'll be the trusted advisor and operational backbone of our people function:

  • Partner with Leadership: Build trusted relationships with the Vietnam Country Manager and leadership team; provide expert guidance on employee relations, performance management, and organizational matters
  • Drive Talent Strategy: Lead recruitment for managerial roles and above; build strategic partnerships with universities and training institutions; enhance our employer brand
  • Develop Our People: Design and deliver learning programs aligned to business priorities; build leadership capability; drive performance management with quality
  • Champion Culture: Embed Discova's unique culture across all markets; establish systematic employee listening; lead diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives
  • Ensure Compliance: Provide expert guidance on complex employee relations; maintain deep knowledge of labor laws across jurisdictions; proactively identify and mitigate people-related risks
  • Lead Operations: Oversee seamless HR delivery (payroll coordination, benefits administration, HRIS, documentation); ensure data integrity and optimize systems
  • Build Your Team: Lead and develop a high-performing regional People Experience team; create development plans and career pathways for HR team members

What We're Looking For

Essential Experience:

  • 6-8 years progressive HR experience with exposure to multiple HR disciplines
  • 3-5 years in HR leadership roles
  • Solid knowledge of Vietnam employment law and compliance requirements
  • Strong operational HR background with developing strategic capabilities
  • Budget management experience
  • Excellent written and spoken English (essential)
  • Vietnamese language (essential)

Preferred Background:

  • Multi-location or multi-market HR experience
  • Experience with HRIS systems
  • Understanding of talent management and organizational development
  • Service industry experience (travel/tourism/hospitality a plus)

Your Day to Day

You'll balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery:

  • Conducting monthly one-on-ones with team members for performance review and coaching
  • Partnering with business leaders on workforce planning and people solutions
  • Facilitating engaging training modules and leadership development sessions
  • Conducting exit interviews for senior leavers; identifying trends and retention strategies
  • Managing complex employee relations matters with rigor and fairness
  • Analyzing people data and presenting insights to business leaders
  • Collaborating with regional colleagues to share best practices
  • Continuously improving HR processes and service delivery

Flight Centre Travel Group (FCTG) is one of the world’s largest travel companies, employing 15,000 like-minded individuals – known as ‘Flighties’.
