Job Description

We are helping a client fill a unique role, focused in all things Talent. You will support the full lifecycle from inception (recruiting) through exit. The focus of this role is to create an overall exceptional employee experience, build and lead people development and engagement, and performance management. Reporting to the Head of HR, you will partner in creating an inclusive and engaging company culture.

This role is based near Woodland Hills, is hybrid 3 days.

Compensation - up to $120k, no bonus

Key Responsibilities

Learning & People Development

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Learning & Development and People Development strategy aligned with business objectives.
  • Build scalable learning programs focused on leadership development, manager effectiveness, employee development, and career growth.
  • Partner with managers to identify development needs and create practical solutions that improve individual and team performance.
  • Design and implement manager development programs, including coaching, feedback, performance management, employee relations, and leadership fundamentals.
  • Establish learning pathways and career development frameworks for employees at various levels of the organization.
  • Own and expand the company’s Learning Management System (LMS), including developing learning pathways, assigning content, tracking participation, and improving the employee learning experience.
  • Introduce the LMS and learning resources to employees and managers and drive adoption across the organization.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of development programs through participation, feedback, performance indicators, and business outcomes.
  • Identify external learning resources, vendors, and content providers as needed.

Performance Management & Employee Development

  • Partner with leadership and managers to strengthen the organization's performance management approach.
  • Develop tools, training, and resources that help managers effectively set expectations, provide feedback, coach employees, and address performance issues.
  • Support the development of career paths, succession planning, and internal mobility initiatives.
  • Help create a culture of continuous feedback, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Coach managers on employee development and effective leadership practices.

Talent Acquisition

  • Oversee the organization's Talent Acquisition strategy and recruiting process.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, develop effective recruiting strategies, and ensure a strong candidate experience.
  • Establish consistent recruiting processes, interview practices, and selection standards.
  • Support sourcing and recruiting for key positions as needed, particularly for difficult-to-fill or high-priority roles.
  • Monitor recruiting metrics and identify opportunities to improve time-to-fill, quality of hire, candidate experience, and retention.
  • Strengthen employer branding and the organization's overall employee value proposition.
  • Partner with leadership on workforce planning and future talent needs.

Employee Engagement & Culture

  • Develop initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, connection, and retention.
  • Partner with leaders to understand employee feedback and translate insights into meaningful action.
  • Develop programs that reinforce company values and create a strong employee experience.
  • Support internal communications and initiatives that promote learning, recognition, development, and engagement.
  • Use employee feedback and engagement data to identify opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Learning & Development, People Development, Talent Management, HR, or a related field.
  • Strong experience developing and implementing employee and manager development programs.
  • Demonstrated expertise in manager development and performance management.
  • Experience building L&D programs and infrastructure, ideally within a growing organization.
  • Experience administering or implementing an LMS and developing learning pathways.
  • Talent Acquisition or recruiting leadership experience, with an understanding of full-cycle recruiting.
  • Strong business partnership skills and the ability to work effectively with managers and senior leaders.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to build programs and processes from the ground up rather than simply administering existing programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Business, Education, or a related field preferred.
