About the role
The Data Analyst is responsible for delivering accurate, timely, and well structured analysis and reporting that supports effective decision making across the organisation. 

The role works with a range of datasets to answer business and People questions, producing clear outputs that are easy for stakeholders to understand and use.

This role combines technical data skills with strong attention to detail and stakeholder engagement. It plays an important part in ensuring data is well understood, well governed, and applied consistently, while building experience across analysis, reporting, and insight delivery.

You will be responsible for
1. Reporting & Analytical Delivery
• Producing regular and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and analytical outputs.
• Applying agreed definitions and standards to ensure consistency and comparability.
• Delivering accurate, timely outputs that meet stakeholder needs.

2. Data Analysis & Interpretation
• Exploring data to identify trends, patterns, and basic drivers.
• Supporting deeper analysis by Senior Analysts or Analytics leads where required.
• Clearly explaining what the data shows and any limitations.

3. Data Quality & Assurance
• Applying data quality checks and sense checking outputs before release.
• Identifying data issues or anomalies and escalating appropriately.
• Maintaining clear documentation of logic, assumptions, and changes.

4. Stakeholder Support & Collaboration
• Working with stakeholders to clarify reporting and analysis requirements.
• Responding to data queries and supporting interpretation of outputs.
• Managing expectations on what data can and cannot answer.

5. Continuous Improvement & Learning
• Improving efficiency and accuracy of reporting and analysis.
• Developing skills in analytical methods, tools, and data storytelling.
• Adopting agreed standards, templates, and best practices.



You will need
Essential
• Experience working with data, reporting, or analysis in a business environment
• Ability to explain data clearly to non technical audiences
• Ability to produce accurate reports and basic analytical insight
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy

Desirable
• Experience working with people or workforce data
• Experience using dashboarding or BI tools
• Exposure to data quality or governance practices
• Experience working in a large or complex organisation
