We deliver challenging and complex projects for our clients and have an unrivalled track record of success. We add real value to our client’s projects through our multi-disciplinary expertise and a broad range of nationwide experience.

Our success and growth rests entirely on the knowledge, skills, ambition and integrity of our people, and we value these qualities most highly. We are forward-thinking and work with a can-do attitude, which nurtures people, ideas and opportunities to help maximise potential.

Through our work, we aim to leave a legacy we can all be proud of.

Are you an experienced People & Culture Specialist looking to play a meaningful role in shaping how we support and develop our people?

We are looking for a People & Culture (P&C) Specialist to join our team and contribute to the delivery of a progressive, practical and people-focused P&C function. Working closely with our Head of P&C and wider team, you will deliver key initiatives while partnering with managers and teams across the business. You will play an important role in shaping our people’s experience and embedding scalable people practices as MKO continues to grow.

This is a varied and hands-on role, ideally suited to someone who enjoys balancing day-to-day people support with continuous improvement and project delivery. You will help embed new ways of working, enhance our people’s experience and contribute to building strong organisational capability.

What you’ll bring to MKO

  • Take ownership of delivering key P&C initiatives, helping to bring them to life, ensuring consistency and practical application across the business.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance P&C processes, tools and ways of working, driving continuous improvement.
  • Support and embed key talent development initiatives, ensuring they are practical, accessible and easy to apply.
  • Coordinate and evolve MKO Academy (LMS), including organising and developing engaging learning content.
  • Partner with managers and teams to adopt new tools, processes and people initiatives.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and development across teams.
  • Provide clear, practical guidance to managers and employees on day-to-day people matters.
  • Partner with hiring managers to deliver recruitment activity and a smooth, positive candidate experience.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding, identifying opportunities to improve the overall experience.
  • Maintain accurate employee data within Personio and support regular and ad hoc reporting.
  • Support the delivery of wellbeing and engagement initiatives across MKO.

What we’re looking for in you

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar HR/P&C role, ideally within a fast-paced or professional services environment.
  • Degree-qualified in Human Resource Management or a related discipline.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple pieces of work at once.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach - comfortable getting stuck in and moving things forward.
  • Confident in building relationships and working closely with managers and cross-functional teams.
  • Good judgement when dealing with people matters, knowing when to lead and when to escalate.
  • A genuine interest in learning, development and building organisational capability
  • Comfortable working with HR and LMS systems (experience with Personio or similar is an advantage).
  • Proactive in using digital tools and open to learning and applying new technologies, including AI, to improve ways of working.

Grow With Us
At MKO, your professional development is important to us. You will have access to ongoing training and development opportunities, alongside the chance to learn through hands-on experience in a growing company. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, recognising the contribution you will make.
