Experience, Skills and Competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
• 4-6 years of experience in-house recruitment experience, including direct sourcing of senior and specialist corporate roles across more than one Asia-Pacific market.
• Hands-on exposure to HR operations and the employee lifecycle, with working knowledge of Singapore employment practice, contracts and onboarding requirements.
• Proven experience building HR automation or AI-assisted workflows, with sensible controls on data and human review.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint and associated tools, and comfort building trackers, dashboards and headcount reports is an advantage.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, including the ability to work with senior leaders and manage external partners such as RPOs, agencies and payroll providers.
• Genuine enthusiasm for culture and engagement, with experience running employee events and role modelling company values.
• High level of discretion and professional judgment in handling confidential information, candidate data and sensitive employee matters.
• Comfort operating with ambiguity and changing priorities, this is a fast-moving environment and plans change.

Job Description

The People & Culture Generalist provides in-house recruitment and HR operations support for Zerra DC in Singapore and Australia, as a key part of a lean, AI-native HR team. Think of the role as the team’s Swiss Army knife: one dependable tool with many functions. You’ll turn a hand to recruitment, HR operations, automation and culture as the team’s needs change.

That takes someone who works with a high degree of independence and ownership. You won’t be handed a task list each morning. You’ll own the problem of getting the right people hired and onboarded well, and you’ll look for ways to remove manual work rather than add to it.

Responsibilities

• Own in-house recruitment for corporate roles in Singapore and Australia, from sourcing to offer. Build talent pipelines and give every candidate a professional, timely experience.
• Partner with hiring managers on role scope and market insight, and manage external recruitment partners for specialist and volume hiring.
• Keep hiring disciplined and visible. Apply our hiring framework, track time to hire and cost per hire, and flag hiring peaks and bottlenecks early.
• Deliver HR operations with the wider HR team across Singapore, Australia and Japan: contracts, onboarding and offboarding, employee data, and answering employee and manager questions.
• Build as you go. Automate recruitment and HR workflows in our HR systems and Microsoft 365, and create AI-assisted tools with human review built in.
• Be our culture champion. Run employee engagement events across all our locations and role model the Zerra values in how you work.
• Grow with us. Contribute to employer brand and careers content, and extend into HR partnering and recruitment in new locations as Zerra expands.
