This is an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate who wants broad exposure from day one and the chance to build a strong foundation across the full employee lifecycle in a fast-moving, international company.

If you are passionate about HR and eager to contribute to a global company at the forefront of the green transition, this is your chance to make a meaningful impact.

Your New Role

As a People & Culture Coordinator, you will support the daily operations of Nel's global People & Culture function. Reporting to the CHRO, you will join a small, globally distributed team supporting colleagues across Europe and the US.

In this role, you will coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities, maintain HR data and systems, draft employee documentation and communications, and support key people processes throughout the year. You'll also serve as a first point of contact for employees and managers, while gaining exposure to talent acquisition, compensation, employment law, internal communications, and employee engagement.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities, preparing employment documentation and ensuring a smooth experience for new and departing employees in both Norway and the US

  • Maintain accurate employee data and records in the HR system and prepare standard reports and overviews for the People & Culture team and managers

  • Draft and coordinate HR documents and internal communications, including contracts, letters, templates, and FAQ material, in both Norwegian and English

  • Provide administrative support to recurring people processes such as annual salary reviews, engagement surveys, and performance cycles

  • Act as a first point of contact for routine employee and manager questions, escalating more complex matters to the relevant People & Culture colleague

  • Contribute to People & Culture projects and support the continuous improvement of people processes, tools, and ways of working

Who You Are

Curious, organized, and eager to learn, you're looking for an opportunity to build a broad foundation in People & Culture. You enjoy working with people, take pride in getting the details right, and are excited to contribute in a global environment from day one.

You bring with you:

  • A Master's degree in Human Resource Management or a related field

  • No prior professional experience is required; however, relevant internships, part-time roles, or thesis work within People & Culture-related areas are an advantage

  • Fluency in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines accurately

  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with a service-oriented and approachable mindset

  • Proficiency in digital tools, including the practical use of AI

  • Confidence using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), and an interest in learning new HR and digital tools

  • A proactive mindset and the ability to work effectively in a changing, fast-paced environment

What You Will Get From Working With Us

  • An opportunity to work in a company in strong growth and a leading position in the hydrogen and clean energy market

  • A visible and impactful role with many exciting interfaces across teams and stakeholders, both locally and globally

  • A dynamic and highly professional working environment consisting of competent and committed colleagues

  • Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits, pension and insurance schemes
