The Opportunity

The People & Culture Business Partner plays a critical role in partnering with business leaders to deliver people strategies that support commercial performance, organisational capability and a positive employee experience across the NRI Group. Working closely with senior stakeholders, the People & Culture Business Partner influences decision-making, supports organisational effectiveness and ensures people strategies align with NRI's business objectives and growth ambitions.

This role leads P&C support for NRI’s Planit line of business for the NZ region, industry leaders in quality engineering, and requires strong stakeholder management capability, sound commercial acumen and deep knowledge of New Zealand employment law and employment relations practices. The role is responsible for managing complex employee relations matters, providing pragmatic risk-based advice, and ensuring people decisions balance legal compliance, employee experience and business outcomes.

Working within a collaborative People & Culture team, you will contribute to initiatives that strengthen leadership capability, enhance employee experience and support NRI's continued growth and transformation.

How You’ll Make an Impact

• Partner with leaders to provide trusted advice and support on people-related matters.
• Support initiatives that enhance employee engagement, capability and performance.
• Contribute to the delivery of key People & Culture programs and projects.
• Help create positive employee experiences across all stages of the employee lifecycle.
• Provide practical and commercially focused people solutions aligned to business priorities.
• Use data, insights and feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business to influence positive outcomes.

Your Strengths & Experience

We're looking for someone who is passionate about people, understands the importance of strong business partnerships and enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

• Demonstrated experience partnering with senior leaders within a professional services, technology, consulting or complex corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of New Zealand employment law and employment relations practices and proven experience managing complex employee relations matters.
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to connect people strategies to business performance and commercial outcomes.
• Demonstrated ability to influence, coach and challenge leaders at all levels of the organisation.
• Strong understanding of employee experience principles and their impact on engagement, retention and performance.
• Experience supporting organisational change, workforce planning and business transformation initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management, relationship-building and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with the ability to balance risk, compliance and business needs.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using HRIS platforms and people analytics tools (Oracle Fusion desirable).
