About the Role

Zayo is seeking a People & Culture (P&C) Intern who will focus their efforts on exploring and recommending P&C based AI application opportunities. Our P&C Intern will support the planning, coordination, and analysis of AI-driven initiatives within the P&C function. This role will play a key part in advancing AI-powered solutions that enhance employee experience, streamline processes, and support Zayo’s broader P&C AI strategy.

The ideal candidate is interested in AI, machine learning, HR technology, or digital transformation. This intern should be analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable bridging both functional and technical perspectives. This intern will contribute to continuous process improvement and innovation by identifying opportunities where AI can deliver measurable business value.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current P&C processes to identify opportunities for AI-based solutions and automation.

  • Research, evaluate, and compare AI technologies and platforms (both in-house and external) to address business needs.

  • Assist in recommending short-term and long-term scalable AI strategies that drive cost reduction, efficiency, and process optimization.

  • Serve as a liaison between functional teams, technical teams, vendors, and internal stakeholders throughout the project.

  • Prepare and deliver project updates, reports, and performance metrics to stakeholders.

  • Support and facilitate meetings to ensure alignment and clear communication across project.

  • Develop frameworks to monitor and evaluate the performance of identified AI solutions.

Qualifications

  • Applicants must have completed their sophomore year and be enrolled in a degree or certificate seeking program for the fall semester of 2025.

  • Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree of Human Resources, Business, Information Systems, Analytics or related field.

  • Exposure to or experience with AI tools or applications within an HR or People & Culture context is preferred (e.g., AI-driven sourcing, HR analytics, automation tools, or chatbot technologies).

  • Candidate must be located in the Denver, CO area and willing to work in a hybrid style (2-3x days/week) from our Denver, CO office for the duration of the program.

Estimated base pay range for this role: $20.00-$22.00 USD/hour.

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance and 401(k).

The posting will be active for a minimum of 3 days. The active posting will continue to extend by 3 days until the position is filled.
