About the role
We’re looking for a People & Culture professional to be based in Tauranga or Hamilton support office. This role will be between 32 to 40 hours per week across 5 days on a 6.5 months fixed-term basis as parental leave cover. The preferred start date is the first week of August, allowing for a two-week handover period.
This role will predominantly support the Senior HR Advisor, delivering effective and efficient generalist people & culture support to the business. You’ll be advising on fundamental HR processes, procedures and systems with a key focus of supporting leaders through employment relations matters.
Pathlab is in the midst of a significant technology evolution with the introduction of a new HRIS and payroll system. This role will therefore play a key part in ongoing HRIS management.
What you’ll bring
- Demonstrated ability to communicate confidently with a variety of stakeholders.
- Experience with employment relations processes and ability to provide legislative advice and support to leaders.
- Experience working with HR technology solutions and ability to support configuration, user proficiency, speed of adoption of technology and utilisation.
- Experience working with collective employment agreements would be an advantage, but not a pre-requisite.
- Ability to use organisational data to strengthen to support decision making
- Must have strong attention to detail and critical thinking.
- Preferred -Sound understanding of payroll compliance and process in accordance with legislation and employment agreements
