Job Description

• Partner with local leaders and managers to provide practical and timely support and advice on people related matters.
• Support workforce planning, organizational changes, role design, and reporting line alignment.
• Act as the first point of contact for employee relations matters, escalating complex issues as required to Manager People and Culture.
• Coach managers on performance management, policy application, and people decision making.
• Support Workday data update, data management and maintenance
• Do payroll oversight and governance of fortnightly payroll processing to ensure:
 Accuracy of salaries, allowances, overtime, deductions, and leave balances.
 Payroll data aligns with employment contracts and approved variations.
• Liaise with Manager People and Culture, Finance and staff to ensure payroll is processed accurately and on time.
• Ensure payroll compliance with:
 IRC PNG tax requirements
 NASFUND and NCSL contributions
 Salary sacrifices and statutory deductions.
• Review payroll reports and resolve escalations prior to payroll finalization.
• Drive continuous improvement in payroll, leave management, and time entry processes.
• Assist onboarding, contract management, variations, confirmations, and exits.
• Ensure accurate and timely updates in EPICOR and payroll systems.
• Support recruitment processes in collaboration with Talent Acquisition (back-end involvement).
• Ensure probation, contract expiry, and performance milestones are monitored and actioned in close consultation with Manager People and Culture.
• Ensure compliance with:
 Local labour laws (PNG)
 Company policies and procedures
 Audit and governance requirements.
• Maintain accurate people records and documentation.
• Support investigations, disciplinary processes, and grievance management.
• Identify people related risks and recommend mitigation strategies to Manager People and Culture.
• Oversee benefits administration including:
 Medical insurance
 Workers’ compensation
 Leave management.
• Ensure leave balances and entitlements are accurate and compliant.
• Support wellbeing, engagement, and savings culture initiatives.
• Prepare and review monthly people metrics, including:
 Payroll summaries
 DLC rates and leave reports
 Workday workforce data for management.
• Identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement and report it to Manager People and Culture.
• Contribute to P&C initiatives, change management, and system enhancements.
• Perform other duties as directed by Manager People and Culture from time to time.
