Due to continued success and to support our growth journey ahead we are seeking a People & Culture Administrator to work with the Head of People & Culture to ensure the smooth running of the department.

The Role

The People and Culture Administrator will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support to the People and Culture (P&C) team, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of HR processes.

The P&C Administrator will be the backbone of our P&C operations, managing recruitment, employee records, compliance, and day-to-day HR tasks. This role requires someone who thrives in a hands-on environment, understands the confidentiality and professional expectations of the department, and values building a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

HR Administration and Record Keeping
  • Maintain and update employee records and files (both digital and any physical) with accuracy and confidentiality.

  • Process new starter and leaver documentation, including employment contracts, onboarding and exit procedures.

  • Track attendance, leave requests, and absences using HR software systems.

  • Manage the P&C department's shared inbox, responding to general inquiries or escalating as necessary to the Head of P&C.

  • Prepare P&C-related letters, memos, and documents, such as employment verification letters.

  • Assist in the development, communication, and enforcement of HR policies and procedures.

  • Ensure adherence to employment & data laws, health and safety regulations, and industry-specific standards.

Recruitment and Onboarding Support
  • Assist with the coordination of recruitment activities, including posting job advertisements to various platforms and coordinating social posts with the Marketing team.

  • Schedule interviews and manage communications with candidates.

  • Prepare analytic reports from each recruitment campaign.

  • Prepare and organise materials for new employee onboarding programs.

  • Support the hiring managers and new recruits with the relevant onboarding procedures, including ensuring all training and health and safety materials are assigned correctly and completed in required timescales.

  • Conduct induction P&C meetings with all new starters.

Employee Life Cycle Support
  • Act as a point of contact for employee queries and concerns, promoting a respectful and supportive environment.

  • Coordinate internal training sessions and workshops as needed.

Payroll & Benefits Coordination
  • Prepare monthly payroll timesheet reports ready for the finance team to process payroll

  • Liaise with the team to ensure timely and accurate salary payments.

  • Administration of employee benefits, pensions and wellbeing programs, including enrolling new participants and processing changes.

Culture and Engagement
  • Assist in organising employee engagement activities and company events, such as the annual party or charity volunteering partnerships.

  • Support internal communication initiatives regarding P&C updates and events.

  • Distribute internal surveys and collect feedback, compiling the results.

About You

  • Previous experience in an administrative or HR or payroll support role

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and ideally experience of HRIS systems

  • High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Location: Old Market

Salary: Full time salary is equivalent to £27,000 to £30,000 per annum dependent on skills, experience and knowledge.

Hours: 37.5hrs per week, Monday to Friday but open to discuss part time (30hrs) and/or flexible working options too.
