Job Description

Avalanche studios are now looking to find our new People Coordinator, who will be responsible for coordinating the monthly payroll process, covering approximately 400 employees. The role is part-time, 2–3 days per week, and temporary with a fixed end date. Due to the fixed monthly payroll cycle, the working days must be scheduled in line with payroll deadlines and cut-off dates.

As part of the People team, the role reports to the Head of Talent and works closely with the external payroll provider, as well as Finance, managers, and employees.

The People Coordinator ensures that payroll input is accurate, complete, and delivered on time. The role is also responsible for payroll-related HR administration, time and absence reporting, benefits administration, and employee support within relevant areas.

What you'll do

  • Coordinate the monthly Swedish payroll process together with our payroll provider, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Prepare and provide payroll input, including salary changes, deviations, absences, deductions, bonuses, benefits, and other relevant data.
  • Manage administration related to sick leave, parental leave, vacation, pension, insurance, and other payroll related matters.
  • Manage HR-related expenses and benefits, including wellness allowance and high-cost protection.
  • Provide service-minded HR support to employees.

Who you are

  • Have completed, or currently studying a university degree in Human Resources.
  • Previous experience from payroll coordination, HR administration, or similar work is a plus.
  • Availability to work 2-3 days per week (60%), scheduled in line with payroll deadlines and cut-off dates.
  • We are looking for someone who is highly detail-oriented, analytical, collaborative and proactive.
  • Communicate clearly in both English and Swedish and the ability to explain payroll/HR-related matters to employees and stakeholders.
Note: Research shows under-represented groups in the industry might not apply to a job if they don’t check off every requirement. At Avalanche, we’re more about your drive to learn and interest in tackling challenges than what’s on your resume! So don’t stress if you don’t tick every box— shoot us your application anyway! Diverse opinions and different experiences are what make our teams so great, not itemized lists of qualifications.
