About the role

Partner with our CFO, People & Technology & Digital teams

We’re on the lookout for a strategic People & Capability Manager to partner with senior leaders across our Finance, People and IT & Digital teams, with a strong focus on organisation change and future‑ready workforce design.

This role plays a critical part in enabling business transformation by shaping organisational design, lifting leadership capability and embedding change in complex, evolving environments. You’ll work closely with executive and senior leaders as a trusted advisor, helping translate strategy into practical people solutions that drive performance and sustainable growth.

As a People & Capability Manager, you will:

  • Partner with the CFO, People leadership and Technology & Digital leaders to design and deliver people initiatives that support business strategy, transformation and growth
  • Lead and embed organisation design, change and development initiatives, ensuring capability and structure align to current and future business needs
  • Coach and influence leaders to build high‑performing, resilient teams and uplift leadership effectiveness
  • Drive talent and succession strategies, workforce planning and capability development to build future‑ready skills
  • Use people data and insights to inform decision‑making, identify trends and recommend interventions with impact
  • Act as the people lead for transformation and change programs, supporting leaders through ambiguity and complexity
  • Contribute to People Experience initiatives including culture and engagement, diversity & belonging, workplace and capability programs
  • Provide pragmatic guidance on employee relations matters when required, ensuring compliance and appropriate risk management

This role is a 12-month fixed term contract working in our Chadstone Support Office. We support a hybrid working arrangement, 3 days in office with the remainder of your week at home.

About you

You have deep expertise in organisation change, transformation and capability development, with proven experience partnering with executive and senior leaders in complex or digitally enabled environments. You’re collaborative, resilient and solutions‑focused with comfortable operating in ambiguity and leading change. In addition, you will have:

  • 10+ years’ experience in senior People Partnering roles
  • Strong background in fast-paced, generalist HRBP environments (Retail, FMCG or complex corporate environments desirable)
  • Strong background in organisation change, transformation and capability development
  • Experience partnering with senior executive and functional leadership teams
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholder groups simultaneously
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage initiatives end-to-end
  • Strong influencing and coaching capability with excellent stakeholder management, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable operating in complex, evolving environments
  • Calm, resilient and confident when managing conflict with a strong customer and business-centric mindset
