About the role
We are looking for a People Business Partner to support Sales, Marketing, Finance, and other corporate teams across San Jose and our global offices. You will earn leaders’ trust, introduce a practical partnership model and establish foundational People practices while working with regional partners and specialist teams. You will translate business priorities into practical workforce, talent, leader and organization actions through change.
Base salary range is $130,000 - $167,000 a year. The base salary offer will depend on factors such as education, experience, training, skills, qualifications, and location. This position is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, equity and a full range of medical and other benefits.

Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a people plan tied to workforce needs and organizational risks.
- Coach leaders across different team cultures on role clarity, performance, feedback, development, team effectiveness and difficult conversations while reinforcing leader ownership.
- Lead workforce and hiring planning with business leaders, Finance and Talent Acquisition; connect role definition and hiring priorities to growth and functional needs.
- Lead portfolio execution of talent reviews, performance cycles, succession and development planning; turn decisions into clear, owned actions.
- Advise on organization design, role clarity, workforce decisions, cross-functional alignment and change implications.
- Use workforce and operating insight to identify patterns, frame tradeoffs and recommend practical actions across varied functions.
- Coordinate with peer PBPs and regional People partners, and bring in Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, People Operations, Employee Relations and Legal when specialist support is needed.
- Manage plans, milestones, decisions and risks through completion while protecting confidentiality.
- Create practical leader guidance and reusable decision tools that improve consistency and execution.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Demonstrated success as a People or HR Business Partner with primary responsibility for a complex, cross-functional portfolio. Your experience includes earning leader trust and coaching a substantial portfolio across different working styles through workforce, performance, talent and organizational change.
- Strong leader-coaching skills, high emotional intelligence and the ability to challenge constructively while adapting to different team cultures.
- Experience leading workforce planning, talent or performance processes, or organization change from diagnosis through follow-through.
- Working knowledge of California employment practices and sound judgment about when to engage Employee Relations or Legal.
- Ability to analyze workforce and operating information and translate it into clear recommendations for leaders.
- Clear written communication, practical leader guidance, discretion, organization and the ability to build trust across functions, levels and locations.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience supporting Sales, Marketing, Finance or other corporate functions in a scaling company.
- Experience partnering across the United States and Asia or another globally distributed organization.
- Experience with organization design, workforce analytics, succession planning, commercial scale or change leadership.
- Experience in a rapidly scaling or public company.
- Experience improving People practices through responsible use of analytics, AI, automation or employee self-service.
