Job Description

Since its foundation in 1977 by the eminent, late Sir Frank Williams and engineering pioneer Sir Patrick Head, the team has won nine Constructors’ Championships, in association with Cosworth, Honda and Renault. The People Business Partner works to align People & Culture (P&C) strategies with business goals, overseeing multiple business units or a larger segment of the organisation. Responsible for high-level-strategic planning, organisational development and change management activities, working to influence senior leaders, building strong partnerships with leaders and shaping the overall P&C strategy in conjunction with the People Leadership Team (PLT). Providing leadership to PBP and acting as a role model to others in the wider P&C team.

Main Duties:

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to coach senior leaders via regular 121s, building effective partnerships in order to critically evaluate, influence and develop people solutions to address current and future requirements. Working to develop senior leadership capability via the Williams Values & Behaviours framework.
  • Advise and support leadership on change and transformation projects that meet the needs of the future state organisation
  • Build a Workforce Plan to meet future demand and capability gaps, ensuring plans are affordable and deliver against return on investment in alignment with the business strategy.
  • Partner with the ER team and the business to manage leadership changes where required, while maintaining positive employee relations throughout.
  • Partner with TA and Leadership on senior appointments and support talent mapping of senior and critical resourcing to ensure a healthy pipeline of industry appropriate ‘brightest and best’ talent.
  • Partner with senior leaders to support the creation of their OKR’s, supporting and promoting effective delivery of key people processes; including End of Year Reviews, Compensation Review to drive the highest levels of performance.
  • Responsible for delivery of talent review against business requirements. Using, insights, leadership and strategic plans for facilitating future-state technical & leadership capabilities inc. succession, supporting retention.
  • Using internal and external data and insight to anticipate trends and support recommendations for change across the employment lifecycle, always considering efficiency and return on investment.
  • Collaborate with CoE’s to deliver innovation in the P&C function to deliver the best employee experience across People Business Partnering, ER, Talent and Leadership, Reward and the People Service Centre, supporting to build an elite team and drive a culture of sustainable high performance in our mission to win world championship.

Qualifications

  • Extensive HR experience, with a proven track record in strategic HR management and a deep understanding of both HR and business operations in a commercial setting
  • Experience of leading HR transformation and supporting organisational transformation
  • CIPD Level 7 (Or Equivalent)
  • Business Acumen – Pro-actively interprets market trends and translates impact to the business. Demonstrates in-depth understanding of the organizational strategy, including organizational goals and the relationship to P&C outcomes and impact.
  • Strategic Thinking – Diagnoses needs and determines strategic direction and long-term opportunities to best meet the customer's evolving needs; creates opportunities for HR to enable business priorities, deliver impact, and create competitive advantage.
  • Relationship Management – Proactively deals with stakeholder concerns and aligns stakeholders around a common purpose; facilitates continuous feedback and ensures the employee voice is heard and considered. Builds, delivers, & adapts solutions that meet evolving customer expectations to optimize CX.
  • Data Literacy and Analytics – Connects financial insights and commentary to insights on business performance; develops forecasts and budgets; routinely uses P&C data to identify insights and drive decision making.
  • Organisational Design and Workforce Planning – Proactively identifies and develops organisational design solutions to optimise business effectiveness. Developing future ready workforce plans to equip the business with required skills and capabilities.
  • Change Management – Leading and managing change within the organisation from a people and culture perspective; measuring change benefits and return on investment.
