Job Description

QSIC is an Audio + AI company redefining what in-store means for retailers and brands worldwide. We use intelligent audio to drive real, measurable commercial outcomes — and we move fast. We're building something genuinely new, and the people behind it matter enormously to us.

We're now looking for our second People hire. Not a number. Not a backfill. A pivotal role that shapes what QSIC feels like to work at as we scale.

You'll be the on-the-ground HR presence for our US teams — a trusted partner to senior leaders, a hands-on operator, and a builder of the infrastructure that makes QSIC a great place to work.

Reporting to the Head of People located in Australia, you'll own the full employee experience for your client groups: from that first conversation with a candidate, through onboarding, performance, development and everything in between.

This is not a role where you maintain what already exists. Most of what you'll build doesn't exist yet.

You'll own:

    Business Partnership

  • Day-to-day HR partner to senior US leaders — coaching, guidance, and the honest conversations that matter

  • Support on performance, employee relations, and workforce planning

  • Translate global people strategy into local action, with real judgment and context

  • Talent and Recruitment

  • End-to-end recruitment for your US client groups — briefing, sourcing, assessing, closing

  • Partner with hiring managers to find and land the right people, not just the available ones

  • Help build an employer brand that makes talented people want to work here

  • People Operations

  • Own US benefits administration: health, dental, vision, 401(k), leave programs, vendor relationships, renewals, and compliance

  • Handle the day-to-day that keeps things running: contracts, onboarding, offboarding, employment verifications, PEO administration

  • Programs and Projects

  • Design and deliver onboarding and offboarding experiences people actually remember positively

  • Partner on global cyclical programs: compensation reviews, engagement surveys, performance cycles

  • Turn informal processes into something consistent, scalable, and useful

  • Support new market expansion from a people and operations perspective

You'll bring:

  • Around 5 years of HR generalist or HRBP experience — ideally a mix of operational HR and business partnering

  • Real experience building HR processes from scratch in a scaling or start-up environment

  • Solid knowledge of US employment law and benefits administration (health plans, 401(k), leave compliance)

  • A track record running full-cycle recruitment across different functions

  • Confidence as a trusted advisor to senior leaders — you say what needs to be said, clearly and respectfully

  • Comfort with ambiguity, and genuine energy for a role with real ownership

  • Bonus points for:

  • Experience in a global, distributed company

  • Familiarity with HRIS platforms and people data

Who we are:

We live by four values:

Honesty First: Frank, direct, respectful, and fair. We choose honesty over getting it perfect.

Invent Solutions: We see a problem and solve it. No dwelling, no excuses.

Laugh and Learn: Genuine curiosity, never taking ourselves too seriously.

One Team: Diverse people, one direction. That's what makes us great.

A note on applications:

There's no such thing as a perfect candidate. However you identify, and whatever background you bring, if this role excites you, please apply. QSIC is an equal opportunity employer and we know a diverse workforce makes us better.
