Job Description

At OC, our people are at the heart of everything we do. We're looking for a People & Culture Officer to join our team on a 12-month contract and play a key role in delivering outstanding employee experiences across the business.

You'll support the full employee lifecycle - from recruitment and onboarding through to employee relations, wellbeing initiatives, learning and development, and compliance. This is an opportunity to make a genuine impact while working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment where people matter.

This position is offered on a full-time basis; however, part-time arrangements will be considered for the right candidate. The role will be based primarily from our Eastwood office, with occasional travel to other OC locations as required.

The Role

As our People & Culture Officer, you will:

• Partner with leaders to manage recruitment campaigns, including job advertisements, interviewing candidates, and supporting hiring decisions.
• Lead onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a positive employee experience and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Provide advice and support to employees on People & Culture matters, including employee relations, and workplace policies.
• Coordinate learning and development, wellbeing, reward and recognition, and performance review initiatives that strengthen employee engagement and culture.
• Maintain compliance with employment legislation, awards, policies, and HR systems, while contributing to People & Culture projects and process improvements.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous experience in a Human Resources or People & Culture role with a strong understanding of recruitment processes and best practice
• A strong understanding of the employee lifecycle and a passion for creating positive employee experiences.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
• Confidence managing competing priorities and deadlines
• Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business or a related discipline (preferred)
