We're constantly working with some of the worlds largest Publishers and most popular AAA games. Here in Australia we have studios located in Adelaide, Brisbane and Melbourne and employ about two hundred of Australia's leading game professionals. Our studio brands operating under the Keywords Studios group are Wicked Workshop (Vic) and Tantalus Media (Vic, SA, Qld).

This role is a Lead level position overseeing the HR Operational and Business Partnering support for Keywords Studios in Australia. This is a people management role supporting a lean but dynamic team of People and Culture professional/s who partner and support the production teams and multiple studios in Australia. As a lead, this role partners with the business leaders and supports them in HR areas such as onboarding, employee experience and retention, employee relations, labor compliance, talent development, talent attraction.

This role is suitable for HR professional looking for a full-time role (ideally - This is a maternity leave opportunity for 12 months) with prior experience in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving, multi-cultural and global/international company. Leadership experience in Human Resources is desirable.

This position reports to the Regional HR Director (on an interim) but works closely with the key local leaders and stakeholders to manage local HR operations and ensures that the company and its production teams continue to build and support incredible games for its clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership support and guidance to P&C team member/s as they deliver HR operational responsibilities to Keywords Australia in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Support and partner with the business and functional leaders on matters involving labor compliance, employee relations and grievance handling. Handle complex employee cases/scenarios that might be outside the remit of the HR Generalist/junior members of the team.
  • Design and implement projects to foster great employee experience and drive talent retention.
  • Identify and implement appropriate tools and methods to capture employee sentiments and gather relevant data via but not limited to regular engagement survey, new hire touchpoints and leaders/employee connects. Prepare and present analytical data to relevant stakeholders to drive action planning and enhance employee engagement and retention.
  • Partner and support Talent Acquisition team in effectively attracting talents and in providing the best possible onboarding experience.
  • Mobilize the team to support the implementation of global HRIS and other relevant HR systems in Australia and ensure employee data integrity (accurate and updated employee information) in the location.
  • Collaborate with regional teams (e.g. People Services Team) and global teams to ensure HR operational efficiency in Keywords Australia.
  • Execute health and well-being initiatives aligned to employee and business needs.
  • Implement and enhance established diversity and inclusion practices in Keywords Australia.
  • Manage the performance review process and timelines to drive performance and career development.
  • Ensure legal and statutory compliance in all people and culture-related processes.

Qualifications

  • Relevant degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Management or related discipline
  • At least three (3) years of experience within a similar role
  • Well-versed in HR practices, employment legislation and labor standards in Australia
  • With experienced HR generalist capability, self-driven and highly motivated
  • Highly detail-oriented but can manage/oversee competing priorities while ensuring quality output
  • Capable and comfortable in supporting/partnering with the senior members of the business and can confidently communicate/liaise with all levels of the organization
  • With prior experience and comfortable supporting a lean but dynamic HR team
