We are currently looking for a People & Culture Business Partner to join our Scandinavian People & Culture team on a 12-month maternity cover contract based in Copenhagen.

In this role, you will report to the Head of People & Culture for Scandinavia and be responsible for driving and developing the People & Culture agenda across our Danish Stores. You will lead a team consisting of one HR Administrator and, together, ensure the delivery of all core People & Culture processes.

To maintain a close connection to the business and stay attuned to the day-to-day realities of our operations, you will also have direct HR administrative responsibility for one designated store. This hands-on responsibility is an important part of the role and helps ensure that our People & Culture initiatives remain commercially relevant and operationally effective.

As part of the Scandinavian People & Culture team, you will collaborate closely with colleagues across the region. While your primary location will be Copenhagen, regular store visits across Denmark are an essential part of the role.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Contributing to the development and execution of the P&C plan, aligned with organisational needs.
  • Overseeing, developing and driving all employee lifecycle processes with the HR Administrator and in close collaboration with Store Management teams.
  • Leading the recruitment planning process, defining hiring needs and supporting the hiring process.
  • Overseeing the onboarding of new employees to ensure a smooth transition into the company.
  • Ensuring compliance with labour laws, company policies and regulatory requirements. Keeping up to date with P&C best practices and legal changes.
  • Training and development – training leaders across the organisation in essential competencies such as leadership and labour law.
  • Managing data processes, maintaining accurate HR records, and using HR systems to track and report employee data.
  • Payroll administration – supporting payroll processes and acting as the HR and payroll contact for one assigned store.
  • Work environment – working closely with the H&S Manager to ensure that all H&S policies and processes are implemented and followed, promoting a safe and compliant environment for all team members.
  • Fostering a positive work environment by managing employee relations and promoting the company’s culture and values.
  • Taking full responsibility for assigned projects, from planning and execution through to follow-up. Collaborating with team members to implement the plan with the highest level of operational excellence.
  • Stakeholder management – visiting all stores weekly to build strong relationships with the management teams.
  • Strengthening internal communication by sharing best practices, regularly joining team talks, and facilitating workshops and events to involve staff members.
  • Maintaining and sharing professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations with HQ and stores. Coaching, mentoring, and training store teams on People & Culture matters when required.

Skills, Experience and Attributes: Skills, Experience and Attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in HR Business Partnering, HR Management, or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of Danish employment law, HR best practices, and compliance requirements.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, preferably within retail or hospitality.
  • Hands-on mindset with the ability to balance strategic initiatives and operational execution.
  • Experience with HR systems and data management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across functions and countries.
  • Fluent English, both written and spoken. Danish language skills are considered an advantage.
  • We are looking for someone who enjoys being close to the business and as such we expect you to spend at least two days in store and one day at HQ per week - with the option to work 2 days a week from home.
