We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data and Analytics Specialist to join our team. As a Data and Analytics Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in our organization, utilizing your 4-6 years of experience in data analysis and reporting to drive insights and inform strategic decision-making. Your expertise in Visier, Workday Reporting, Advanced Excel, Power BI, SQL, Power Query, Power Pivot, and complex formulas will be essential in handling complex datasets, creating advanced data models, and delivering actionable reports and visualizations.
Responsibilities:
Data Analysis and Interpretation: Analyze large and complex datasets using advanced Excel functions, Power Query, and SQL queries to identify patterns, trends, and insights. Utilize complex formulas in Excel to manipulate and transform data as needed. Interpret the data to provide actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
Reporting and Visualization: Develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, Visier, incorporating Power Query and Power Pivot, to present data-driven insights in a clear and compelling manner. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their requirements and create customized visualizations that effectively communicate key metrics and KPIs.
Data Modeling and Manipulation: Design and implement advanced data models using Power Pivot to support reporting and analytics requirements. Utilize Power Query to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources into a centralized data repository. Transform and cleanse data using complex formulas to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Performance Monitoring: Develop and implement monitoring mechanisms to track the performance and effectiveness of data analytics initiatives. Utilize Power Pivot to create advanced calculations and measures. Identify areas for improvement and proactively suggest solutions to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including business leaders, data engineers, and IT professionals, to understand their data requirements and deliver insights that align with business goals. Communicate complex technical concepts, including Power Query, Power Pivot, and complex formulas, to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Continuous Learning and Innovation: Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics. Identify opportunities to leverage Power Query, Power Pivot, and advanced Excel functions to enhance data analysis processes and deliver more impactful insights.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
Skills, Experience & Qualifications:
BA/BS degree and 4-6 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficiency in Advanced Excel, including complex formula creation, pivot tables, and data visualization.
Expertise in Visier & Power BI for creating interactive dashboards and reports, incorporating Power Query and Power Pivot. Experience with Workday Reporting is a plus.
Strong SQL skills, including data extraction, transformation, and manipulation.
Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and experience with database management systems.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Proven track record of delivering high-quality, accurate, and actionable insights from data analysis.
