Job Description

At Paymentology, we’re redefining what’s possible in the payments space. As the first truly global issuer-processor, we give banks and fintechs the technology and talent to launch and manage Mastercard and Visa cards at scale – across more than 60 countries.

Our advanced, multi-cloud platform delivers real-time data, unmatched scalability, and the flexibility of shared or dedicated processing instances. It’s this global reach and innovation that sets us apart.

We’re looking for a People Advisor to provide high-quality guidance, operational ownership, and practical problem-solving across the employee lifecycle. Acting as a trusted HR generalist, this role supports managers and employees with consistent advice, manages recurring and moderately complex people matters, and ensures the smooth execution of core People processes.

Operating with a high degree of autonomy, the People Advisor serves as a reliable point of expertise within the People team and contributes to initiatives that enhance employee experience and organisational effectiveness.

What you get to do:

Employee Advisory & Case Management

  • Provide timely and accurate advice to managers and employees on core people topics, including performance management, sick leave, onboarding, probation, policy interpretation, and conduct matters.
  • Manage end-to-end recurring and moderately complex employee relations cases, ensuring appropriate documentation, risk assessment, and escalation only where required.
  • Apply sound judgement to balance policy, employment law principles, and contextual considerations to deliver pragmatic and people-focused outcomes.

Operational Excellence & Process Ownership

  • Own defined People processes end-to-end, including onboarding, offboarding, contract amendments, probation tracking, performance cycle administration, and employee documentation.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant People data across systems, supporting payroll inputs, audit readiness, and high-quality reporting.
  • Identify inefficiencies in workflows and implement practical improvements that enhance accuracy, efficiency, and employee experience.

HR Projects & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead or support People initiatives such as policy updates, benefits changes, system enhancements, manager enablement activities, and engagement projects.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, Legal, IT, and other stakeholders to ensure effective execution of people-related activities.
  • Support the adoption of new tools or processes by preparing clear communications, guidance, and light training for stakeholders.

Data, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

  • Prepare People data, dashboards, and reports, including turnover, absence trends, and probation outcomes, and translate insights for managers.
  • Identify patterns within recurring issues, highlighting risks and opportunities for improvement to senior HR colleagues.
  • Advocate for a consistent and positive employee experience by resolving recurring operational challenges and contributing to culture and engagement initiatives.

Requirements

What it takes to succeed:

  • Strong HR generalist capability with experience handling recurring and moderately complex people matters.
  • Working knowledge of HR processes, policies, and employment law principles, with the ability to apply them pragmatically.
  • High attention to detail with strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
  • Clear and confident communication skills, able to translate policies and decisions into practical guidance for stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively across teams and functions.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 4–6+ years’ experience in HR advisory, people operations, or a similar generalist role, aligned with IC4 expectations.
  • Experience using HRIS platforms, collaboration tools, and people reporting dashboards.

What you can look forward to:
