Assignment Location:

APAC – Melbourne, Brisbane or Sydney based

Assignment Duration:

3 months in total, including 6-8 weeks based in Australia.

About the assignment

We have an exciting mobility opportunity for a People Advisor – Employee Relations to join our People Connect Case Management (Employee Relations) team for a three month assignment.

Working alongside experienced employee relations professionals, you will support People Leaders across a broad range of people and workplace matters while developing your employee relations capability and gaining exposure to complex and varied people issues.

The assignment has been created to provide additional support and coverage during a period of planned leave within the team. In addition to day-to-day employee relations case management, you will have the opportunity to contribute to delivery of team projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities and deliverables

In this role, you will:

• Support People Leaders by providing practical, risk-based advice on employee relations matters.
• Support the management and resolution of employee relations cases, including performance, conduct, absenteeism, employee grievances and wellbeing matters.
• Assist with workplace investigations, fact-finding activities and documentation.
• Contribute to the delivery and roll-out of People Connect initiatives, projects and continuous improvement activities.
• Support the development of resources, tools and guidance materials that enhance leader capability and self-service.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the business to mitigate risk and achieve practical and commercially balanced outcomes.
• Provide broader support to the Employee Relations team as priorities evolve throughout the assignment.

You'll bring

• Experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, Workplace Relations, Employment Law or a related People function.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
• Well-developed written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to analyse issues, exercise sound judgement and provide practical solutions.
• A collaborative approach and willingness to contribute across both operational and project-based activities.
• The ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.

Previous employee relations experience will be highly regarded.
