About the Role

- Lead and continuously enhance AIA’s MPF and ORSO fund propositions.
- Strengthen fund governance, fiduciary oversight and post eMPF operational readiness, and drive improvements in fund performance monitoring, while uplifting operational efficiency in collaboration with AIMHK to support the competitiveness and growth of pension funds.
- Provide independent governance and compliance oversight across investment propositions, fund operations, pension related materials and administration processes in view of escalating regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

MPF & ORSO Proposition Leadership

  • Develop and refine investment proposition strategies for MPF and ORSO platforms.

  • Enhance MPF/ORSO product architecture, default strategies and fund range to improve competitiveness and member outcomes.

  • Drive proposition innovation aligned with regulatory expectations and employer/member needs.

  • Provide fiduciary and governance review over MPF/ORSO investment proposition proposals developed by product teams, ensuring alignment with trustee duties, long‑term suitability and regulatory expectations.

  • Review and approve investment‑related pension materials (including fund descriptions, default investment disclosures and strategy summaries) to ensure accuracy, consistency and regulatory compliance.

Fund Performance Enhancement & Oversight

  • Lead performance monitoring and evaluation for all MPF and ORSO constituent funds.

  • Partner with AIMHK to strengthen analytics, data quality and reporting efficiency.

  • Oversee responses to underperformance with structured analysis and action plans.

  • Enhance governance frameworks including benchmark setting, attribution analysis and escalation criteria.

  • Act as a 1.5‑line fiduciary oversight function, providing independent challenge and escalation rather than portfolio management execution.

Investment Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with MPFA rules, trustee governance standards and internal investment policies.

  • Lead fund manager/fund selection, deselection and ongoing due diligence processes.

  • Oversee investment mandates, fee structures and performance expectations.

  • Serve as a key member of investment and fund governance committees for MPF/ORSO.

  • Strengthen governance over post‑eMPF operational arrangements, including fund data integrity, reporting timeliness, audit trails and regulatory defensibility.

  • Oversee fund operational matters linked to MPF/ORSO products (e.g. valuation processes, fee application, fund changes and incident governance), ensuring proper controls and trustee compliance.

Operational Efficiency & Fund Performance Enhancement

  • Drive initiatives with AIMHK to enhance investment processes that support stronger, more consistent fund performance.

  • Review and optimize fee structures charged by AIMHK and delegated investment managers to improve net‑of‑fees outcomes for members.

  • Enhance transparency, reporting and governance to better monitor performance drivers and ensure cost‑efficient investment execution.

  • Enhance trustee‑level transparency and governance to support regulatory engagement, reviews and inspections.

Pension Administration & AMCM Compliance Oversight (1.5‑line role)

  • Monitor and provide governance oversight over the Macau pension administration processes, including PPF enrolment and contribution handling, to help ensure ongoing compliance with AMCM’s recently enhanced regulatory standards and trustee obligations.

Auxiliary Functions

  • Support the fund performance related areas for AIAT’s role as trustee for third party funds.

  • Support the management of pension platforms on fund related matters.

  • Scope competitor analysis to support fund idea generations.

  • Support regulatory reviews, inspections and management responses relating to fund governance, administration controls and compliance matters across Hong Kong and Macau.

Requirements:

  • University / College graduate plus 10 years of working experience in asset management, finance and / or insurance industry

  • In-depth knowledge in marketing and communication

  • Excellent written skills on both Chinese and English

  • Creativity and innovative thinking on marketing idea

  • Good communication and presentation skills

  • Effective staff coaching skill

  • Problem solving and decision-making skills

  • Effective project management skill

  • Good business acumen and is customer oriented
