Job Description

At UniSystems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a Penetration Tester to join our UniQue team in Brussels!

What will you be doing in this role:

  • Lead and/or participate in Red/Blue Team exercises.
  • Perform web, infrastructure, and application-level penetration testing.
  • Conduct security design reviews to ensure compliance with applicable security policies and directives.
  • Provide security consultancy and advice to projects, programmes, and other organizational entities.
  • Build and maintain effective communication with key stakeholders, including Configuration Control Boards, Security Accreditation Boards, Security Accreditation Authorities, and organizational units supporting accreditation processes.
  • Deliver briefings to both executive and technical audiences on security assessments, reports, and testing outcomes.
  • In coordination with the Head of the Penetration Testing Team, ensure proactive collaboration and coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Requirements

What do you need to succeed in this position?

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field with at least 3 years of experience in:
  • Web application penetration testing.
  • IT infrastructure penetration testing.
  • Network security architecture design.
  • Assessing security vulnerabilities within operating systems, software, protocols, and networks.
  • Researching and evaluating security products and technologies.
  • System and network administration of UNIX and Windows environments.
  • Use of penetration testing tools, techniques, and recognized testing methodologies.
  • Scripting skills in at least one of the following: Perl, Python, Ruby, or shell scripting (Bash, KSH, CSH).
  • Technical knowledge of system and network security, authentication and security protocols, cryptography, application security, malware infection techniques, and protection technologies.
  • Ability to evaluate risks and formulate mitigation plans.
  • Proven ability to write clear and structured technical reports, including executive summaries, technical findings, and remediation plans for different audiences.
  • An active NATO Security Clearance is required.
  • Very good command of spoken and written English (B2).
