Pelvic Floor Therapist (PT or OT)
Nebraska Medicine is seeking an outpatient Pelvic Floor Therapist to join our team. The person in this role will work with a diverse patient population of all gender identities, addressing conditions such as urinary and bowel incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, chronic pelvic pain, oncology concerns, transgender care, pregnancy care and postpartum recovery, core dysfunction, and bowel dysfunction. The therapist will provide comprehensive evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and offer patient education to improve quality of life.
The therapist will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including urologists, gynecologists, gastroenterologists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
Candidates who are Board-Certified Women’s Health Clinical Specialists (WCS) or have prior experience treating pelvic floor conditions are preferred. Mentorship is available.

Duties: Pelvic Floor Therapist (PT)
Perform evaluation, planning, and implementation of physical therapy treatments. Assist with department goal setting, program planning, clinical instruction, and staff instruction in order to maintain a progressive educationally motivated staff. Carry out day to day communication and duties with teamwork and professionalism.
Required Qualifications: Pelvic Floor Therapist (PT)
• Bachelor’s degree or higher from a physical therapy program accredited by the Commission of Accredited Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal required.
• Excellent interpersonal skills required. Strong team orientation required.
• Familiarity with items found in a typical PT (e.g., weights, exercise bikes, gait belts, ultrasound, traction, ambulatory devices, mats, etc.) required.
• Currently licensed as a physical therapist in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).
Preferred Qualifications: Pelvic Floor Therapist (PT)
• Rehabilitation experience preferred.

Assist with department goal setting, program planning, clinical instruction, and staff instruction in order to maintain a progressive and educationally motivated staff. Carry out day to day communication and duties with teamwork and professionalism.
Required Qualifications: Pelvic Floor Therapist (OT)
• Graduate of an approved program for occupational therapy with a Bachelor's degree or higher required.
• Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, strong team orientation, and proficiency with items found in a typical OT facility (e.g., transfer and ADL adaptive equipment and splint supplies) required.
• National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy registered required.
• Licensed in the state of Nebraska is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire required, must be from an American Heart Association (AHA) endorsed program (effective for new hires starting January 1, 2023 or later).
Preferred Qualifications: Pelvic Floor Therapist (OT)
• Physical Agent Modality Certification preferred.
