Salary Range: $61,933.00-$81,286.80

MCSO Peer Support Coordinator is responsible for conducting meetings of the MCSO Peer Support Team. Making recommendations to the Peer Support Manager concerning the selection and removal of MSCO Peer Support Team members. Making recommendations for modifications of the program and providing annual statistical reports to the Chief Deputy, Chief of Staff, Chief of Detention, and Peer Support Manager on the use of the program. Serves as a liaison between the MCSO Peer Support Team and other areas of MCSO and other peer support organizations.
Develop recommendations for policies based on MCSO’s Peer Support services model.
Build and maintain communication and connection between the peer support manager, team members, peers, officers, and staff. Open communication between roles needs to be communicated with all participants in peer support program.
Maintain a process to respond to a peer support request in a timely and efficient manner, keeping in mind the personal preferences of the individual making the request.
Maintain peer support management system to track interactions and results data.
Utilize access to HR systems to manage proactive connections and provide reporting and anonymous tracking that is based on the Peer Support Team needs.
Develop training that would benefit the organization as it relates to peer support and possible retention efforts.
Develop coaching program that supports the peer support goals.
Maintain the peer support email.
Coordinate the appropriate MCSO Peer Support Team response following critical incidents or traumatic events or as directed to do so by the Sheriff, Chief Deputy, Chief of Detention, or Peer Support Manager.
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Education, Safety or a related discipline
