Job DetailsJob Location: Contingency Management Atlantic - Northfield, NJ 08225Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: High SchoolSalary Range: $15.50 - $20.67 HourlyThe Peer Recovery Support Specialist for the Continency Management Outpatient Program provides recovery-oriented support to individuals in the community. This role includes completing Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) screenings within the community setting. Drawing from lived experience with mental health and/or substance use challenges, the Peer Specialist engages individuals through individual and group sessions to foster hope, empowerment, and recovery.
The Peer Recovery Support Specialist uses the Wellness and Recovery Action Plan (WRAP) model and other evidence-informed tools to support participants in building coping skills, navigating reentry, and connecting to services. The ideal candidate demonstrates empathy, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to support clients of all ages in a culturally competent and recovery-focused manner.
Hours:
This position is Full Time, Monday – Friday, with some evening and weekend hours required.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
Lived experience with mental health or substance use recovery and involvement with the justice system required
Certified Peer Specialist credential preferred; must be willing to obtain certification within 6 months of hire if not already certified
Experience providing peer support or working with justice-involved populations preferred
Familiarity with the WRAP model and recovery principles
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
