JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: H-NP-135264-1 Profession: Pediatrics - NP/PA Specialty: NP/PA - Pediatrics Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Columbia, South Carolina Coverage Period: Dec 01, 2026 – Ongoing Reason for Coverage: Coverage Number of Positions: 2-3 Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 1-2 patients per day Case Mix: Level I/II Nursery, Pediatric consultations Rounding: Included FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Epic PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 60 days REQUIRED PROCEDURES Resuscitation of neonates 32 weeks and older CPAP management Peripheral IV insertion Arterial sticks Ventilator management Administration of pulmonary surfactant Umbilical line placement Catheterization Circumcision (preferred) Pediatric consultations JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses: Active South Carolina license, DHEC certification Experience: Experience with neonatal resuscitation and care of infants 32 weeks and older Other Qualifications: EPIC experience required DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide inpatient coverage for Level I/II Nursery (average daily census 1-2) Perform pediatric consultations in the Emergency Department as requested Manage neonatal patients requiring resuscitation, CPAP, and ventilator support Perform procedures including peripheral IV insertion, arterial sticks, umbilical line placement, and catheterization Administer pulmonary surfactant and perform circumcisions (preferred)
