Affirmed Home Care is seeking compassionate and experienced Pediatric Registered Nurses (RNs) for per diem school-based nursing opportunities with the Phillipsburg Board of Education This role is ideal for nurses who enjoy working in a supportive school environment and are passionate about providing high-quality care to students across all grade levels.
We currently have immediate needs for substitute school nursing coverage throughout the Phillipsburg school district. In this position, you will support a variety of short-term and long-term assignments, ensuring continuity of care when district nurses are out.
Additional opportunities may include one-on-one student support and bus run assignments, depending on district needs.
Serve as a substitute school nurse — Provide coverage for school nurses during absences, ensuring safe and consistent student health support
RN: $39–$41/hr
Active New Jersey RN License
Minimum 1 year of pediatric nursing experience in home care or acute care preferred
Current BLS Certification
Authorized to work in the United States
Valid driver’s license preferred
Physical exam within the past 12 months
PPD or QuantiFERON within 1 year (or chest X‑ray within 5 years)
Proof of MMR immunization within 10 years
Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical exemption
