Job Description

The role of imaging has markedly expanded within the realm of Pediatrics. In addition to providing regular daytime coverage with subspecialized pediatric radiologists, it has increasingly been necessary to provide similar subspecialized coverage after hours and on the weekends. As such, we continue to need to expand our clinical faculty in Pediatric radiology in order to meet this clinical need. A minimum of 20% protected time for research shall be provided initially.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must qualify for a full-time medical faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of Diagnostic Imaging at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University. Minimum requirements include: board eligibility or certification in Diagnostic Radiology and dedicated Fellowship training in Pediatric Radiology. The candidate must have a strong clinical background in Pediatric Radiology, excellence in patient care and teaching with a demonstrated ability to work with individuals from underrepresented backgrounds, and a commitment to scholarly participation in the research programs of The Warren Alpert Medical School. A minimum of 20% dedicated time for research shall be provided initially. Clinical coverage in Adult Diagnostic Radiology including coverage of a busy Emergency Department at the Level 1 trauma center may be needed.
