Treehouse Pediatric Therapy is a therapist-owned multidisciplinary pediatric outpatient clinic with locations in Woodridge and Batavia, IL. We provide core therapy services for clients aged 0-18 including physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, and ABA therapy. Additionally offered are specialized programs and services including pelvic floor therapy, feeding therapy, nutrition services, and neuro services. Treehouse's ultimate goal is to create meaningful change in clients' lives through an emphasis on a holistic therapeutic approach, involving families in carryover of care, and supporting employees' needs to allow them to provide the best services possible.

Treehouse is hiring a Director for our growing service of physical therapy! Our physical therapy caseload is extremely varied and challenging with diagnoses ranging from torticollis, orthopedic conditions, serial casting, gait impairment, developmental delay, and neurological conditions. Additionally, Treehouse's physical therapy team distinguishes itself from other clinics as a leading, reputable provider of pediatric pelvic floor health and neuro services. We have strong established referral relationships with the top pediatric GIs, urologists and pediatric neurologists in the state. The training and development of a pelvic floor health caseload is encouraged, but not a requirement for this position.

This position is full-time (30-40 hours/week) and is eligible for Treehouse's full-time benefits.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Use evidence based practices to guide interventions and implement appropriate treatment sessions
  • Develop comprehensive plans of care that set up clients for progress in identified area(s) of concerns
  • Communicate plan of care to parent(s)/caretaker(s) in a way that best encourages engagement and carryover of care for that family
  • Complete treatment documentation that follows the company's documentation guidelines
  • Exhibit proficiency with many different types of cases across ages, diagnoses, and treatment types, and continue to broaden proficiencies and specialties through continuing education and sought out support when needed
  • Be properly educated on all therapeutic services offered by the company to appropriately refer to another discipline if clients' needs exceed physical therapy scope
  • Ensure the safety of clients and all individuals present during sessions, implementing behavior crisis management protocol when needed
  • Complete appropriate lifts and transfers of clients to a safe position, which may include to/from a wheelchair

Leadership Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage and a grow of team of pediatric physical therapists. The ideal candidate will lead through example, motivate through supporting the team to hit their goals and ensure that each PT client receives the best potential outcome.
  • Help steer and guide the company through being an effective member of the company’s leadership team
  • Provide input on company initiatives, policies, and development
  • Give constructive feedback to ownership in the best interest of the company's clients, employees, and financial well-being
  • Supervise and oversee physical therapy department
  • Supervise physical therapy fieldwork students
  • Model a high level of professional expectations for others to emulate
  • Create a positive morale and confidence among the physical therapy team
  • Actively participate in and create marketing opportunities, including but not limited to presenting to referral sources and industry professionals, conducting screens at local preschools, and attending local community events

Sign-On Bonus

A sign-on bonus will be awarded for this position. Bonus amount based on experience.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Possess advanced physical therapy degree (MPT or DPT)
  • Hold active physical therapy licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation
  • Pediatric outpatient experience (preferred)
  • Pediatric pelvic floor experience (preferred, not required)

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to be physically active and alert for extended periods of time and occasionally lift, move, and/or support up to 50 lbs. (and/or up to adult sized body weight with assistance)
    • May require some degree of physical interaction with clients who have difficulty controlling physical behavior
  • Possess personal means of a reliable form of transportation
  • Ensure the safety and maintenance of company equipment provided and materials that is necessary for work as a physical therapist

Treehouse Pediatric Therapy is a privately owned clinic offering pediatric Physical, Occupational, Speech, ABA, Feeding, Pelvic Floor and Nutrition Therapies in Woodridge, IL. Treehouse serves families in the western suburbs of Chicago through its two clinics in Woodridge and Batavia.

In addition to clinical services, our therapists also provide school based services on short term contracts.

Treehouse currently has over 30 therapists and a non-clinical team of over 8. Treehouse offers a flexible, challenging and collaborative workplace. For flexibility, we offer our therapists, part-time, PRN or Full time positions to match their professional needs. Our therapists are challenged by treating a range of diagnosis and in different settings, through our clinical based patients and contracts with public schools and private special needs schools. Treehouse offers a professional and collegiate work atmosphere as therapists collaborate across disciplines to offer one cohesive voice to parents and the referring doctors.
