Job Description

Position: Pediatric Nurse Onboarding Lead

Reports to: Client Service Supervisor

The Pediatric Nurse Onboarding Lead plays a crucial role at Connect Pediatrics by ensuring the seamless integration of new nursing staff into our dynamic healthcare team. This individual is responsible for providing ongoing support to new nurses and ensuring they are fully prepared to meet the unique needs of our pediatric clients. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pediatric nursing, excellent communication skills, and a passion for mentorship and professional development.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

  1. Valid Texas RN/LVN license
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in pediatric nursing
  3. Strong leadership, mentorship, and interpersonal skills.
  4. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  5. Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and MS Office Suite.

  1. Provide mentorship through careful planning, organization, coordination, and regular review of nursing training and support services, aiming for excellence in patient care.
  2. Provide feedback on the effectiveness of nursing training methods and practices, ensuring high-quality care outcomes.
  3. Foster positive relationships with clients and staff, promoting a team-oriented culture.
  4. Maintain strong connections with patients and their families, ensuring effective communication and support.
  5. Demonstrate effective problem-solving skills and the capacity to make well-informed decisions.
  6. Uphold all relevant Standard Operating Procedures and Policies, ensuring nursing practices meet organizational and regulatory standards.
  7. Ensure nursing staff adherence to all operational guidelines and protocols.
  8. Service Enhancement: Explore and advocate for innovative approaches to improve and expand pediatric nursing services.

Environmental Elements

Employee is in clients' homes, providing a dynamic environment for training and assessment activities. While this role includes occasional office duties, with moderate noise levels and controlled temperature conditions, the focus remains on on-site client interaction, with minimal exposure to hazardous substances. This position also involves engaging with staff and clients, potentially under stressful or challenging situations.
