The Department of Pediatrics at Mayo Clinic in Eau Claire, WI is seeking a board certified/board eligible Pediatric Hospitalist/Inpatient Pediatrician to join a physician led organization in a community practice.
Duties include care for patients affected by prematurity, respiratory distress, infectious diseases, congenital heart disease, and/or other anomalies. Clinical responsibilities include resuscitation of newborns, care of healthy newborns, day-to-day management of babies in the Special Care Nursery, and care of hospitalized children. Procedures performed include circumcisions, umbilical central lines, lumbar punctures, frenulectomies, intubations, and emergent needle decompression of pneumothorax. Responsibilities will include direct patient care, as well as opportunities for educating advanced practice providers, medical students, and Family Medicine residents. This position is solely inpatient. Hospitalists work 12-hour shifts in-house, 24 weeks per year.
