About the Role

This role as Sales Performance Trainer focuses on driving sales excellence through Seller, Product, Segment, and Campaign Activation. You will design and deliver impactful training programs from onboarding to advanced development, implement data-driven learning strategies, and foster continuous growth. Responsibilities include managing budgets, leveraging modern learning technologies, and collaborating with stakeholders to align initiatives with business goals. By building strong partnerships and championing activation strategies, you will play a key role in enhancing sales productivity and achieving measurable results.

Job Responsibilities:

Sales Training & Development

  • Design, deliver, and manage comprehensive training programs, including Licensing (LIAM, CEILI, PIAM, TAKAFUL), Onboarding, and Post-Onboarding for new hires.
  • Develop and execute learning strategies for all current and future Sales Distribution Channel projects.
  • Lead and coach the PD Sales Academy team to achieve short-, medium-, and long-term business objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify training needs, align programs with business goals, and evaluate effectiveness.
  • Analyse sales performance data to identify trends and implement strategies that improve productivity.
  • Promote continuous professional development across the team and ensure alignment with AIA Group L&D standards.
  • Manage training budgets to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Gather feedback and introduce innovative learning initiatives to maintain industry-leading standards.
  • Oversee third-party training providers and negotiate contracts to meet objectives and enhance learning outcomes.
  • Leverage modern learning technologies to optimize training delivery and processes.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to reinforce learning and drive continuous improvement in sales performance.
  • Support seller activation and productivity through initiatives such as seminars, HNW events, market updates, and sales forums.
  • Drive and track product activation initiatives in collaboration with Sales, Campaign, and Strategic teams.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

  • Partner with Distribution Channel Sales Heads (DCSH) to enhance sales personnel performance through coaching, joint fieldwork, and skill development.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and corporate partners to drive business growth.
  • Build strong relationships with senior leadership, channel stakeholders, corporate partners, and AIA Group L&D to ensure training aligns with evolving business needs.
  • Work closely with PBB K&L team to strengthen the learning ecosystem between PBB and AIA.
  • Maintain proactive communication with PBB stakeholders and AIA management to ensure successful training initiatives.
  • Engage all relevant stakeholders to support the success and scalability of PD sales distribution channels.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
  • At least 7 years of experience in the financial industry, with a strong focus on sales and academy training
  • CFP/RFP certification is a strong advantage.
  • Additional trainer certifications (e.g., 7 Habits, NLP) will be considered a plus.
  • Proven experience in trainer management and sales target achievement
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and adaptive ways of working is an advantage.
  • Hands-on sales experience with insurance products is highly desirable.
  • Prior exposure to agency business operations and working with agencies is an added advantage.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Highly independent, proactive, resilient, and results driven
  • Willingness to travel frequently within Klang Valley and occasionally outstation to support sales personnel.
  • Ability to plan, develop, and deliver training modules and content collaboratively with the team.
