Role Overview: This role involves providing skilled nursing care to patients in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), caring for individuals who require close monitoring and management but do not need intensive care. Responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, administering medications and treatments, monitoring vital signs and changes in clinical status, and collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe, effective patient care.

Requirements:

• One (1) year of experience required.
• 2+years of experience within specialty required for 1st time travelers
• Flu Vaccine Required - No Exemptions
• Certificates Required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
• EPIC Charting System Experience required.
• Teaching Hospital Experience preferred.
• Trauma Level I Experience preferred.
• Trauma Level II Experience preferred.
• PCU unit - AHA ACLS / BCLS / NIH / TELE required. Medication test required.
• Skills: IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Respiratory, Neurological/Psychiatric, Gastrointestinal, Medications – Heparin Protocols and PCA, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response
• Work Settings: MS/Tele, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, Telemetry, Orthopedics, Plastics

Schedule:

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (9:00 PM - 7:30 AM)

Weekend Coverage: Every other
