PCR Technician (contract)

Our client is a preclinical contract research organization (CRO) providing services in the fields of drug, vaccine, and medical device development and testing. Services offered range from early product discovery to GLP-compliant studies for regulatory submissions. The company offers integrated preclinical drug development services including cellular and animal disease model design and development, non-GLP and GLP efficacy, toxicity, biodistribution, and product release studies in a broad range of animal species.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Compliance: Perform responsibilities under the supervision of the Scientist(s) and/or the Study Director(s) and in accordance with relevant study protocols and the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  2. Training: Ensure training is documented according to Noble SOPs and applicable regulations, such as the GLPs, prior to the performance of associated procedures.
  3. Performance of Procedures:
    • Process various blood, biofluids, and tissue samples for qPCR using a variety of laboratory procedures and equipment.
    • Conduct qPCR using specified equipment according to the SOPs and Protocol.
    • Maintain quality, safety,y and/or infection/sterility control standards.
    • Maintain the laboratories in a clean and organized manner after completion of procedures.
  4. Data Management:
    • Maintain logbooks and document experimental procedures and associated data according to the protocol and SOPs.
  5. Laboratory Maintenance: Take ownership of assigned laboratories/equipment.
    • Receive relevant supplies according to Noble SOPs and policies and organize them in appropriate laboratory storage areas.
    • Maintain inventories of assigned cold storage units.
    • Maintain the laboratories in a clean and organized manner.
    • Prepare shipment packages as directed.
  6. Collaborate:
    • Collaborate with other technicians, research associates and departmental scientists.
